Because they are in stupid glittery and patent finishes. A lovely shape but the simplicity only works in the tan and zebra ones IMO. The patent ones all look really dated and the glittery ones are just weird.

The very wide strap is frumpy. I wanted a new pair this summer to replace my excellent Boden ones from a couple of years ago but I didn't bother. I would have done had these been more stylish and in normal navy/navy patent rather than the daft glitter.

I think they were trying to emulate the pool sliders look

Hideous. Plain black might have been okay, if they hadn't have chosen to use shiny, cheap-looking patent for them.

second the fugly comment

I would have thought a typical Bodenite would love a 'fun' sandal in glitter or zebra.

That style has been vair popular for other retailers -seems like every pair of feet in London that aren't wearing Arizonas are wearing that type. I ordered a pair from Asos but they hurt my feet. Maybe they've had lots of returns - reviews aren't great for comfort.

Think the style is quite nice. I like a thick strap - don't like seeing a lot of someone's feet. They look too flat though

For that money you could get those saltwater jobs that all the flat footed mothers are wearing, also zara and everywhere on the high street were doing these for less pennies. aLSO 2 tone was more de rigueur this summer. Even clarks were better

Oh yes - would never buy at the original price

Exactly for £58 you can get Salt waters or other flat sandals with proper soles not those completely unpadded solid ones that have no place outside Primark or New look.

Clarks had some gold, green and beige and purple and grey ones for that price with a similar vibe. Difference you could actually walk some distance in them.

And the blue glitter are just odd.

Their shoes are such bad value, they had monstrous wedge things this year

Agree - the slider look generally very popular this summer and I like it, but these aren't a great example. Soles too thin for my liking and, while might still have gone for a navy pair on sale, not that glittery navy. Aldo very put off by reviews saying how narrow they are.

They are spectacularly uncomfortable. I brought two pairs and sent back. They are far too flat and you feel every tiny stone. They also made my back ache! I think because they are so flat.
