Not lots of shopping time - but stuff is generally cheaper there as I recall.

Definitely go to Sephora for a browse, loads of brands in there that you can't get over here and brands which work out as cheaper.
Bath and Body Works make great things especially their candles- not too pricey and they smell amazing

Make up wise look in the pharmacies for drug store brand make up that you can't get here also sephora. Brands like avenno moisturiser are loads cheaper.

Brands like hollister, Abercrombie, converse and under armour are cheaper. My boys love under armour for sportswear as in to play sport in.

American brands are cheaper, basically.

DH usually buys trainers and jeans in the US.

I tend to have a good browse through Old Navy, Gap and bargainous places like Target, Walmart, Marshalls etc for kids clothes.

For myself, I like Victoria's Secret, American Apparel and Banana Republic, plus raiding Walgreens/Duane Reade or whatever the local chain of drugstores is. So much choice of cheap bath/beauty products and drugstore makeup like Revlon, Maybelline etc.

Oh and weird random one...but maple syrup . You can get enormous plastic bottles for about 4 dollars, rather than the tiny glass bottles for 6 quid in UK supermarkets.

Went in June- I bought 2 Michael Kors handbags from Macys Bare Minerals makeup Levi's jeans. Macys will give you 10% off (except beauty) also they often have sales.
Premium outlets are fab too.
Tag watches are cheaper
Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch, Yankie Candles Timberland ect etc
I would reccomendyou start looking at their websites. If you know there is a prem outlet sign up and you will get loads off money off vouchers.
Ditto food, plus if there is a Cheesecake Factory you have to go the food is delish.

I love Cerave moisturiser - it's a cheap drugstore brand that's packed with ceramides and niacinamide and my skin loves it. It's really cheap there and only available in the UK from Amazon with a massive markup - sob.

Super target is my favourite supermarket plus you can buy Aussie miracle moist shampoo/con for $6 for just under a litre! Walgreens and cvs are great chemists.
However if you are ill it's expensive ended up paying $200 when my son got conjunctivitis so make sure you take meds with you

Where are you going in the US? Try TJMaxx (their version of TK) as you get a lot of Ralph Lauren stuff much more discounted than we get it here.

Definitely try to get to a Outlet - if you are in NYC you can get a bus to one from Penn Station (Woodbridge or Woodgreen from memory)

First post for me...Clinique 5th Ave for a makeover. they load you with a bagful of freebie goodies, all handy size for nights away.
Shoes, trainers (love Skechers) and Nike flip flops.
Random find last trip - popcorn flavourings. brought back loads of jalapeño and cheese, my all time fave. Found it at Walmart.

Michelle I love the USA bottle of Aussie shampoo etc, I find them much easier to use then the silly bottles we get in the UK. I always bring a couple of bottle back in my case.

also slightly off topic, but amazes the size of the boxes of tampons, not cheaper though if anything more expensive but huge boxes of them and other brands.

Banana Republic and GAP always seem better in America - guess they just have bigger ranges. Banana Republic outlet shops are usually fantastic too. Coach outlets have very good discounts and their bags are really lovely.

Popcorn flavourings seem to have arrived here ... just saw a good range of them in our local Asda

I would second going to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner and then get a yummy piece of Cheesecake to take away for the next day. Portions are so huge you'll never eat dessert as well as dinner.
