Oh, I'd suggest paint stripper as soap substitute…. Hmm

Not really, obviously, but Fairy liquid on hair must have a fairly similar effect.

All my cosmetics are cheap and cheerful but that's a step too far IMO.
I don't take any other advice from the DM and shall not start with this, but good luck to you, pixie Grin

Well i think i might try the fairy liquid..not daily but im all for home made things..not of course paint stripper ha ha..
I wouldnt do salt but why not an oatmeal scrub?
I would try the fairy thing cause it can make it look shiny but only now and again.
Really fancy the avocado and olive oil thing for hair. I do egg and olive oil and its superb!!!

I have washed my hair with washing up liquid, followed by a lovely conditioner and it has left it amazingly soft, light and fresh feeling.

Why would fairy liquid be like paint stripper?

It's just packaging and perfume that's different (and price) surely? The ingredients are probably pretty much the same for washing up liquid and shampoo?

My dh has always used washing up liquid on his hair because I hide my nice stuff and you would never know.

I've made a body scrub with salt, olive oil and some essential oils, and it turned out as nice as the posh stuff really. In fact I must do that again...

My hairdresser informed me that the best way to get rid of product build up is using washing up liquid once a fortnight or once a month in place of shampoo, followed with a good conditioner. My hair feels fab afterwards!
