Please tell me what to wear under this coat!

Dp bought it for me years ago but I've never worn it.

I need several alterations done (sleeves shortened, taken in a bit) but will be having them done soon (ish). I just have no idea what to wear under it so I don't look/feel daft.

HELP! (links would be good).

Please tell me what to wear under this coat!

Tbh if you have had it several years and have never worn it, and you feel like you might look daft in it then I would ebay it and buy something you feel comfortable in.
However if you definitely want to keep it then how about wearing it with jeans and a plain, coloured top. Or maybe keep it monochrome and wear black trousers and a white top underneath.

I want to keep it, I just have no idea what to wear under it that won't clash with the stripes & haven't been able to afford the alterations (have spent what feels like forever digging our way out of debt).

It's a bit baggy when fastened which I don't think helps with how it feels on iyswim?

I'll have a mooch on Pinterest with a cuppa after I've been to the Dr's...didn't think to look there for ideas, I tend to use it for housey/cake type bits and Christmas more than anything else.

I quite likes the stripes under the stripy coat. There were a couple of pictures with spotty tops underneath which looked like a good clash iyswim. Pinterest is great but I can get sucked in and then find I have been on there for an hour without realising it!

i d just wear it, as you would a coat! Not being smart but if you just out it on you ll get 'used' to it, It s lovely!

For a start, a oretty safe outfit
skinnies or boyfriend jeans, and a t shirt flats/ ankle boots.
keep the t shirt plain (grey/white/ nude) if you re unsure, but a yellow/red top woudl look great under it!

Blue denim or grey denim be fine with it

this this is an easy look
and the statement necklace is lovely with it

coloured trousers/ denim (red?) would be nice too

Red skirt /red dress be nice with it too....

With a coat like that I woul just wear it as a day coat in the autumn. Maybe with a red top or plain top or any colour really. I have got rid of stuff I haven't worn in years and feel so much better. If you loved it, you would have worn to by now.

Not necessarily MrsG, I have dresses upstairs I've never yet worn because I have nothing suitable to wear them to. But I bought them because I kept going back to them.

I can pretty much do the look in your first link (I think it was first - leopard top) Turquoise but will have to get some black pumps to wear, my current ones are leopard and orange trim so might be a bit much.

I definitely need it taken in looking at those pics, they look much better fitting than mine does currently.
