Thanks for the suggestions. I bought this one www.toast.co.uk/product/sale+womens+tops/C6BAB/FINE+JERSEY+SCOOP+NECK+TEE.htm?categoryref=%2fcategory.aspx%3fcategoryid%3dsale%2520womens%2520tops%26seoterm%3dsale%2520womens%2520tops%26&pcat=sale+womens+tops&adimage=&clr=C6BAB_lightgreengrey from Toast, on a day when it was an extra 15% off and free delivery. Exactly what I was looking for and v good quality.

I've got this one by Jigsaw (via John Lewis) in green. It's 95% cotton, 5% elastane. Double thickness front but in no way bulky. Arms are a bit on the long side so I tuck them up.

I got some just like this in Brora, sale, a couple of years ago.

Lands End do some that I keep re-ordering over and over again. I think they call them long sleeved "modal" - mix of cotton and elastine.

Thanks all, will check out the suggestions. Wildbill do you remember which ones the thin Gap ones are please? Would ideally like to order online.

Uniqlo heattech tops are brilliant (not cotton though)

Saw something like this in Monsoon. I rejected them as being too thin as I wanted them as stand-alone tops that would keep me cool though covered, not for under stuff like your planning. Might have been just above the £30 mark

Uniqclo do tons, in all different colours.

H and M usually have thin tight cotton Lycra ones

Toast do some fine ones and they are in the sale I think

M&S do something that sounds similar to what you are looking for, they are long sleeved thermal 'Heatgen' tops, however they are not cotton. They are great for the cooler weather though and nice and thin. m&s top

I'm looking for some long-sleeved t-shirts to wear underneath short-sleeved dresses/tops when it gets cooler. I would like them to be quite 'thin' and very fitted so that they don't add bulk, and natural fabrics. Plain and stripy would be perfect. If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful - I am willing to pay up to £30-ish.

I know places like Boden and Gap do cotton long sleeved t-shirts, but IME they are usually thicker which is not really what I'm looking for.

TIA
