Do your sandals always stretch?

Mine do.

I've got three pairs of lovely sandals all of which feel too big now where they used to be really comfy.

I can only think the uppers have stretched.

Is it just me? I have to buy new ones every year and they're hardly worn.

Just me then? grin

I wonder what I do to them????

In fact your feet are shrinking . Have you been taking too many hot showers ?

Arf! Who knows.

But it's costing me a fortune.

I would like to fashion some kind of device and take it on Dragon's Den. It would be a clear plastic strap which glued amazingly well to the sole of the shoe and wrapped across the foot, nice and snug, so you could put a pair inside the saggy sandals and make them wearable again.

Soak them in mild soapy water (soap flakes are ideal), risne and let them dry. This helped mine.

Would that work with leather?

Yes, but you might have to put them on for a short while while they are still wet. The wearing when wet trick also works for sandals that are too small, so be careful you don't wear them for long (a few minutes should do it).

Yep, getting them really wet will shrink them.

Sounds like you are buying then too big in the first place.

Tbh, I usually size down in sandals.

Though I think I've got quite narrow feet. But there must be an element of stretching if they start comfy.

So no takers for my in-sandal snugness device? grin
