Gap have lots of nice summer trousers including what they call "khakis" which look roughly like chinos to me!

oh those both look nice. How is the sizing of gap and h&m, do they come up true to size?? What tops are you wearing with them, t-shirts?

Gap ones are great. Sizes come up large. I am a standard UK size 8 but always need at least a UK 6 or occasionally even a UK 4 (which is ridiculous).

They come in Tall sizes too - double fab

I got some of the h and m ones online in a size 12 and they were bloody tiny - I thought I'd ordered age 12 by mistake

Yazzy I would try a UK08. Online they seem to have a variety of leg lengths. I got the standard length, I have long legs and they sit quite a way above my ankle bone........

I bought the H+M slim fit chinos in a soft blue-grey colour here

Love 'em, and the fit is spot on. They are long enough to roll up a little bit on me (unusually as I am 5ft 10) and not go bulky

The material is very soft and comfy too

Do gap surplus skinny khakis come up small as well???

All Gap stuff comes up big in my experience size down at least one size. If ordering online then I order a size smaller and two sizes smaller. Not sure if relevant to you but the Tall sizes come up even bigger.

I got a lovely flat front pair in Fat Face, they come up on the snug side, but are lovely.
