Help me style a dress from the 20s!

I bought this dress

www.etsy.com/uk/listing/184657085/vintage-20s-dress-1920s-beaded-chiffon?ref=favs_view_19

(Scroll down to see it I think)

Which was (eek!) the most I've ever spent on an item of clothing other than my wedding dress! It is for a ball, not a fancy dress/vintage event. How would you style/accessorise it?

That's gorgeous.

You have to do authentic vintage with that I think...

What size shoe are you?

I am a shoe size 6-7.

Can you get your hair done in finger waves with a band?

Like this sort of thing?

That's a difficult size to find authentic 20s shoes in, but something like this could work...

Would you do a real fur stole?

I was thinking faux bob, dark eye shadow, long necklace preferably pearls. And dolly shoes.

Or no necklace and a big cuff.

Those are great shoes! Thanks tethersend! The right heel shape (from the limited knowledge I have gained on 20s fashion)! I was thinking of a headband too... Do you think a long necklace would work, as the dress is already beaded around the neckline? Don't think I would do real fur.

My hair is brown , waves, shoulder length. I could get a cut so it is a bob.

I think the more the merrier with beads, TBH.

Gosh, what a gorgeous frock.

What about making a black velvet choker with a fresh orchid sewn on?

I wouldn't get it cut, as finger waves make it a lot shorter- you could pin the rest back.

guide here

Or if you are near London, there are a number of vintage hairdressers who could do your hair on the day...

I'd let the beadwork on the dress make a statement.

Like the hair, I will have to practice! Amazing that there are new shoes in a 20s style. That Pinterest board is great!

Do you think black is the only colour that would work for shoes?

Could possibly have silver / grey / cream? Is the beading silver and cream, it looks like it on the picture?

This colour may go.
