Anyone tried the Fibrology thickening shampoo by Elvive? If so, any noticeable difference to hair volume?

I'm using it and it's horrid. No noticeable difference to volume but my hair feels heavy and dull and weighed down with a waxy substance.

I have very fine hair though, it may be better on other hair types.

I love it!

I have fine hair too and it's made a really noticeable difference. It does create build up, and I need to wash my hair every other day rather than every three days but it's worth it.

Im using it too and think it's great. Definitely noticed a difference.

I too love it. Is making a real difference to my awful thinning hair.

Yes, it does work and the conditioner leaves your hair really smooth. It does seem to tangle more easily though.

It's sending my hair a bit berserk, it now stands to attention in all sorts of random directions.

I love it-have fine frizzy hair. Frizz is gone, always had to wash hair everyday anyway (i always have crazy bed head). But it looks thicker and shinier than usual.

I bought it for my DD who has very fine, brittle hair. I think her hair is a little bit stronger after using for a few weeks but it is quite thick and heavy shampoo and takes ages to wash out in the shower!

I love it - have very fine, thin hair and using this just seems to make it hold it's style better and not look so flat.

I'm using the shampoo, conditioner and booster, and it is pretty good.

I'm using it and find that my hair feels like it has product in it. I did used to always put mousse in so it's not a problem, I don't need that now, my hair feels thicker and holds its style

Went to the hairdresser's today so now my hair is Fibrology-free and I can really tell the difference. Can't wait to wash it in the morning and beef it up again.

I tried it today for the first time, can't say I have noticed a difference. I used the shampoo, booster and conditioner. I have got quite thick hair already and lots of it but it can't hurt being thicker :)

Do I have to use it a few times to notice a difference?

Report
squoosh · 19/04/2014 23:08

Yes it takes a few washes to really notice the difference.

I bought this in Tesco yesterday, ( it's 2 for £4. )Does it matter that I wash my hair every day? Does it need to build up?

Thank you squoosh I shall continue and see.

The more I use it, the heavier my hair gets. I'm now having to wash every day rather than every other or every third day. And it gets so knotty now, the knots used to just fall out before I started using it.

My hair does feel thicker on the washing day, but is just lank the next morning.

I'm disappointed overall and I won't be buying it again.

I'm using this too and liking it. My hair is long (past shoulder length) and fine, this gives it more body.

Threw mine in the bin today, at first I thought it smelt nice but no noticeable difference now I've used it a few times it definitely gave body, but my hair didn't look shiny, felt heavy and tangly and needed washing every day. I prefer a smooth sleek look, was sent this as I'm on the boots testing panel, I imagine someone with fine hair would have a different experience and like it.

Have been using the shampoo and conditioner for a few weeks, washing my hair everyday. I agree on the build-up some people have commented on, I do feel there is product on my hair... however the results are fabulous! My hair is much more voluminous and now has a deep sheen. I will continue using it. It does take much longer to dry though...
Might try just using the shampoo and not the conditioner for a few times.

Using shampoo, conditioner and booster, love it. Hair is more voluminous and shiny

I'm just using the shampoo and conditioner and I'm loving it. My hair has a lot more body and thickness; it feels a bit rougher to the touch but it looks great. I'm thrilled with it.

Try using the reverse method with it (conditioner before shampoo). Works even better!
