Am starting to think it is a swizz even though other people have raved about it. Was looking forward to having baby soft feet, oh well shall dig out my S&G foot file instead.

I'm doing mine tonight! Reviews I've read say its up to a week before awesome skin shedding. You can soak your feet to speed it up?

It didn't really work for me. A bit of skin flaked off after 4-5 days for a couple of days then nothing. Still loads of hard skin left Hmm

I bought the Chinese ebay knock offs last year. My feet became suspiciously warm so I took them off after 30 mins. Nothing happened, so on day 5 I put another pair on and wore for an hour. About 3-4 days after that it started. .. took a fortnight of leaving a trail of bits of me.

Just did them again 2 days ago - it's a waiting game Grin

IIRC you're supposed to soak your feet nightly after two days (or som esuch) to encourage the peeling.

I've done this twice. Both times it took about a week for anything to happen. And then, bloody hell! HUGE amounts of flaky skin came off. Soak your feet in warm water every day, that speeds things up a lot.

Thanks, will soak my feet tonight and see if it helps.

Watching with interest as was thinking of trying it after reading some earlier threads. Do you just put the stuff over the soles of your feet and heels or is it just in a bag that you can put each foot into so it sort of squishes over the tops as well? Just that tops of feet are fine, it is heels and balls of feet that are worst - so wondering if it only acts on the areas that skin needs to come off rather than taking of skin that doesn't need treating.

You put your feet into foot shaped bags. It advises that you put Vaseline over any bits you don't want exfoliating.

Nothing happened to mine until about day 5 then it was amazing!

You def need to soak them, I had a warm bath a few nights in a row and that helped them along.

Once they start you will not believe how much comes off, it looks vile!

Style, put Vaseline on the tops of your feet before going in the bags otherwise they will be really dry and peel too

I had high hopes but nothing much happened for me either. Saving up for medi-pedi!

This sounds great, where do I get it please?

Boots. It comes in a very small box, and costs twenty quid. I have mine on right now! Bit stingy and hot, I'll be glad to rinse it off.

The Chinese/Korean ones off ebay are much better IME. Seem to be a bit stronger.

It is vile isn't it? Smile I remember the first time I did mine, I wore socks one day & when I took them off they were FULL of lumps of dead skin, not just little flakes but LUMPS!! Being a totally revolting person I thought this was fantastic Smile I didn't Vaseline the tops of my feet that first time & they peeled too, which looked gross, so do remember to do that bit.
I must buy some more & do my feet before we go away in May Smile

Is it sore or uncomfortable and do you moisturize your feet on the days when you're waiting for it to peel?

Oh and it was down to £14.99 when I bought it earlier in the week although it said £19.99 on the shelf.

Report
Germgirl · 07/02/2014 08:19

It's not sore at all. And no, don't moisturise as that slows things down considerably. Your feet will look horrible for a few days but after that they'll be great. I have hideous hooves but Footner worked brilliantly on them.

Don't know if I could cope with the peeling days, think it may gross me out - especially after reading germs comments about lumps of skin...... Suppose the only way is to try it out now and then will know if it does work for me. If it does, I can do it again later in the year in readiness for summer. Good tip to put Vaseline on areas of feet that don't need peeling. Cardoon glad you asked the question about it being sore or uncomfortable as I forget to ask!

Ooh Style, it's LOVELY!! (Disclaimer: I'm odd Smile I grow germs for a living, I must be odd). Seriously though, I found it fascinating & it's lovely seeing the soft pink skin emerge.
The bad peeling is over in a couple of days, the urge to peel it all off is almost unbearable but you shouldn't as then it will be sore. But have a shower or soak soak your feet every day & the skin soon comes off.

Mine was more gradual, it took a good 4 days or so for all the old skin to come off, it was v slow but bar one still deep crevice on the side of my foot all the new skin was great ??

I made the mistake of wearing fleecy thermal tights on a peeling day. All the dead skin stuck to the fleece ...ewww!

MrsRogerSterling · 07/02/2014 21:05

Ooh, have just taken my socks off and a shower of flakes fell out of them. Bring on the peeling!!

Have you got a hand held hoover? Could be worth keeping near a hoover when you take your socks off Grin
