Flawless, Nigella-style foundation

Watching The Taste recently (which is crap) I am transfixed by Nigella's amazing skin. I know she's certainly had a bit or botox or whatever, but she clearly has fantastic foundation.
As a fellow pale and interesting type I was hoping for some recommendations for foundation that gives that wonderful creamy effect.
I use a light, illuminating foundation during the day but want something heavier for evenings.

Any ideas?

I remember seeing Joanne Lumley in the flesh and being shocked at how much make up she wore in real life.

Actually I want proper old fashioned cream foundation, the sorry in a jar that you dip your fingers in circa early 80's Helena Rubenstein type stuff. They did something very odd with foundation at some point and it just doesn't seen to work on my skin....

The best I've found is Loreal lumi magique rose pearl which is a perfect match for NW 20 skin.

DameDiazepam foundation like that still exists. Amazing coverage, very heavy.

I've never gotten a good glow from liquid foundation (just a sweaty look) but mineral foundation applied properly can give a really fantastic glow and airbrushed feel without the heavy cakey feel.

I'm sure it's mineral makeup . I have loreal and it's amazing but only for evenings ..

I use mineral make up most days, it's good.

That Revlon stuff has a sort of velvety finish though which I don't like, sort of powdery. I want very very creamy stuff. Thanks though

NW 20 is a Mac shade.

Actually just realised I haven't tried the Revlon one, it's the maybelline one I've tried. I'll look in boots tomorrow, thanks

Dame it's one of my favorite foundations but the finish is more matte than glowy, but not at all powdery on my dry skin. It might also be a US only product If so, lots of eBay vendors should carry it.

This stuff is DA bomb! proper coverage, semi matte finish, lasts for hours and hours. The catch is they aren't launching it in the UK so need to buy it on ebay and pay a fortune for postage.Worth it mind you

Have you tried panstick by Max Factor? Very creamy, good coverage. Heavy though.

I'm usually a huge fan of mineral foundation only. Other foundations make me want to scratch my face off!
This clarins one though is just amazing. It's £££ but really worth every penny. Coverage is really good, but it doesn't look cakey or obvious at all. You also only need a tiny amount for good coverage so although it's expensive it lasts a long long time.

Clarins are also one of the few make-up counters that I've found that are great at giving out samples. So well worth giving it a try.

I have gone through foundation after foundation and a make up artist recommended urban decay primer.

It's amazing the difference.

I tried every foundation out there I think.
I want good coverage but not flat,long lasting but not drying.
The ones that last are too flat,eg Double Wear,the ones that look amazing when first on don't last!

Nigella mentioned Laura Mercier pressed powder being in her handbag in one interview. She used to be the times beauty journalist didn't she? I used to read it but can't really remember her favourites.

I've never tried anything from Laura Mercier ,apart from Secret Finish.
Perhaps that's it??

I get on really well with Botanics bb cream ..it covers like light foundation but a nice texture .. I use this in the day and mineral make up for nights out ..

Sheer cover is supposed to be amazing but I haven't tried it.
