I'm trying to make more of what I already have so looking at the most versatile/useful items I have and would love to know everyone's 'must have's' so I can steal ideas! Jeans are a given!!

I'll kick off...

Black ankle boots Took me ages to find a pair that suited - now I wonder how I dressed myself without them.

Plain grey Gap sweater - works with absolutely everything, even for work if I put a shirt underneath.

Grey H&M a-line above knee skirt I have worn this to work once a week, every week since I bought it!! It's getting a bit tatty TBH smile

M&S blue cashmere cardi Warm (tick), Good fit (tick), flattering shape (tick), works for casual or work (tick), lovely colour (tick)

There are other items I wouldn't be without but those are the most worn items.

At home:
grey and blue skinnies (tesco, next)
stripey tops
long cardigans (mostly shades of grey/silver) (jigsaw, M&S, gap and sainburys)
Sweatshirts (grey/cream, sparkle grey, raspberry pink)
black ankle boots (rocket dog)
grey ankle boots (reiker)
bright plain t-shirts (mostly esprit who do a lot of tops in my HOC spring colours).
Denim shirt (tesco bargain)
Faxu leather leggings (next)

At work:
grey wide leg trousers
blue wide leg trousers trousers
Coloured tops (as above)
Long cardigans (as above) plus 2 x Ted Baker waterfalls
Jumper dress (boden)
Me&Em ruched maxi dress

Looks a bit boring all writen down like that but I'm trying to pull my style together a bit so it's a work in progress!

Thinking about gaps:

Because I hate being big busted, I avoid buying tops. That means I've got lots of plain black or grey t-shirts and jumpers and v little else. I need a couple of good 'going out' tops to wear with jeans, and a couple of nice tops to wear with a pencil skirt and blazer for work.

Also, I need some sort of light jacket to wear on less cold but wet days - some sort of lightweight parka or similar.

Think someone mentioned Spanx up thread. Totally agree on this

I've only recently discovered these, and I must say that now (post pregnancy) these are pretty essential under tight fitting dresses. Being a 28f I've always understood the importance of a good bra, but was late to the whole sucky-in pants thing. Transformative!

blush Shredded it does look a bit like that, I might have slightly missed the point! No, I have a lot more clothes, but went through and made a mental list of my favourite things.
It has got me thinking that I need to do a bit of a wardrobe edit/ebay session….hmm

They've been brilliant and were a bargain weren't they justa? I wore mine constantly skiing and they seemed just as good as the Sorel's that others had.
