Boden Sale - anyone splashing out?

I have just ordered the Thea Dress in purple with 50% off, it is my birthday coming up very soon and we're off to a very nice hotel for 2 days without dc and I am hoping this will be a nice daytime dress with navy or purple opaques and navy suede wedge shoe boots (from Boden last year) I am 5ft 10" and a size 12 so I am really hoping this shape suits me.

Has anyone else purchased? Apologies if there has already been a thread on this, I haven't seen it

I really want the bistro trousers but there's very little reduction on the black ones Hmm

Now there's a code for free postage, I've ordered some chinos and a shirt.

Nope. Some of the sale prices are actually higher than using previous codes. I bought the jumbo code skirt for £29.50 two months ago yet the sale price is £39.50

I wanted the Mohair cardigan but at £44 it was too expensive. I did order a top before the sale which is lovely and the Audrey dress. I agree I think some of their stuff was cheaper before.

I may have another look but i don't really need anything.

Bought five dresses for £199. All easy to throw on day dresses. Almost finished with my sale shopping as my £2k budget is nearly gone now.

I've ordered this. I'm hoping I look just like the model!

I am holding out for clearance. Possibly next week? There's not much I want, not at current prices, anyway.

I agree that the sale prices were not great, I had another dress in my bag, the grey easy tunic with the fly-fishing print. It was nice but too dear at the moment so I took it out again!

I love the bistro trousers too and I also like the navy ones with the velvet stripe down the outside of the leg but they got bad reviews.

Knit wear is still expensive.

Apatite1, which 5 dresses did you get? I would LOVE a £2k shopping budget

I need some work wear after spending all of my career in uniform and had been eyeing stuff up pre-sale. Much of the items were cheaper previously, I really dislike Bodens pricing technique it seems a bit of a lottery.

Redmayneslips, I got the Sophie, mercer, westbourne and colour block dresses, plus one of the shifts.

I have a healthy budget as I only shop in the sales: I won't buy any clothes again until the summer. I only shop oneline and when I find a bargain. A good chunk of my budget this winter went for 2 tory burch handbags: last year I bought zero handbags.

I bought a Mixed Stitch jumper in emerald, which is gorgeous, and a Brondesbury top.

I bought one of the navy polka dot macs, the green jacquard bistro trousers and a jumper.. I did think the prices seemed a bit high though - does anyone buy again at the lower price and return the higher priced one as I'm tempted to do that

Also v jel of the 2k budget!

Stocked up on pj's for the girls but nothing for me. Trying to avoid the Boden cliche of slightly overweight mum in fun Boden clothing (I'm 37 size 12/14 mum of 4 living in a very middle class sea of Boden!!)

the code doesn't work on mine. Does it update when you pay or at the checkout. I have spent £38. Do you have to spend over a certain amount.

Report
10outof10 · 29/12/2013 18:20

Changed it at checkout and automatically deducted the delivery charge.

I've got the very cheap boot socks (£8.70 now!) and a pair of pull ons. Absolutely nothing else I want and a lot is STILL too expensive. Last year I paid £36 for a rainy day mac - which has been brilliant and still looks like new. This year they're still selling them at close to £100.

alemci · 29/12/2013 18:25

10 is it definitely that code listed earlier UKSH? Just doesn't seem to work. Am I not spending enough?

I used a cashback site which should link free delivery automatically. Puzzled?

alemci · 29/12/2013 18:42

finally worked thanks.

I realised you had to press 'change code' button.

Bought Richmond Top and montpelier plus wallet. Now I will literally stop spending as it is all too easy.
