Barbour Jacket

Does anyone have one, if so which model do you have and do you like it? I tried on a few today and am quite tempted as it should last a Long time?

ooh I used to have one, the Bedale, it was lovely; saw a girl i know in town the other day wearing one and thought that it was a v smart country-style look with jeans and boots.

Tried one on I town on Xmas eve. Navy with silver coloured zips and buttons. Had a fur trimmed hood. I really liked it. Lovely length on me, mid-thigh. Lovely colour, a nice dark navy. I think it was called arctic something. Really liked it but would need a discount. ('Twas full price)

katy that must be my artic parka. It's reduced on the barbour site now but thankfully not in my size!

This is the one. Fairly true to size I would think. I am 5'6", looked a bit longer on me than on the model.

It's reduced on the barbour site as you just linked but only size 16 and 18 left. It may be reduced on other sites that sell it?

Dh bought mine prior to Christmas but would only let me have it yesterday. I haven't had chance to wear it yet but it certainly feels warm when I try it on. I have a north face and it seems warmer than that and I'm in love with the hood (the north face doesn't have a hood).

I tried on the winter force (very think) and two others. Annoyingly needed different sizes depending on thickness of the coat. I nearly bought one but the shop said no refunds on sale goods and i just couldnt commit !

I love Barbour jackets I have 4 !! Depending on the type tge sizing is different. I have the nation down parka in black fir when it's really cold (true to size), waterproof/breathable parka (generous), quilted (bit snug size up if in doubt) and hawkstone wax (v c generous size). They are worth the money fir tge years I will wear them walking the school/preschool rubs and need to be warm/dry. Plus we have an outlet nearby, hit and miss but almost half tge price and better than normal sale!!

Got an international jacket. Bought in Oct 2010 still going very strong wear it almost every day. It's heavy and the zips clink and make noise but it is very hardwearing .

ancient International here, needed a size 12 whereas I would normally wear 8-10.

I have this purple one.

It looks much nicer IRL (honestly!) and the colour is brighter than the pic shows. I love it, and it looks really smart and is true to size BUT, it's really not very warm, despite being fleece lined. I was after a warm casual jacket so a bit gutted really but it's fine with a jumper under.

I have the same purple one but u found it really snug and had to buy a 10 (prob boobs though as still bf!!) very flattering fit though. My waterproof/breathable was a past season from the outlet, 3/4 length slightly padded parka in black from about two seasons ago I think as the international badge on the arm not front pocket. Flyweight so ideal fir spring/autumn school run not too thick/hot.

I see they do free returns so I might order a couple in different sizes,,saves traipsing around town to try and find the ones I like in my size.

I tried winter broad stone and winter force parka but went with hawkstone wax for my really bad weather jacket and gave pretty much worn it everyday since!! Fir a super warm but light 3/4 jacket I bought a joules down jacket - when they had 25% off similar in outlet website fir £79.99!!! I wanted the artic down Barbour but ire than twice the price then got a past season one from outlet . Nothing on their website, part if Orvis outlet at Clarks Vilkage in Street, Somerset.

My friend has the winter force but it was very warm and the shape not quite right for me. Broad stone also very warm and heavy I found bit restrictive to hold my arms out to push the pram!! Another I tried was rebel wax in a sort if deep brown (again has a hood) but I liked the parka look of hawkstone. Little bit longer at tge back which is more flattering over my wobbly bottom!! Size is huge, I ordered 10 thinking wax can be restrictive/may want jumper under and really should've got the 8 it's very generous!!

Yes,bizarrely was 8 in hawkstone but 12 in broadstone
