I want a beautiful bedspread for Christmas

Well it's for DH & I - but I get to pick!!

Currently my bedroom is green & cream & birch coloured wood......but I might change it for the right bedspread
& my bedding is cream & deep red, which is why I need the bedspread

I hate the shiny satin ones & ones with hard bits/sequins embroidered on

So where should I be looking?

Notonthehighstreet have a big selection from lots of different boutique retailers

Otherwise worth trying:

Zara home
Feather & black
Dunelm mill

We recently redecorated in muted grey and I have simple plain linen and a handmade throw

Scatter of cushions. Got the curtains in Dunhelm dorma emilio. Really luxurious quality.

I've succumb to asking for one from Melin Tregwynt for Christmas - lusted after one for years!

They've got some beautiful ones in your colours

Sorry I fell asleep - I was home after a busy month running DD to auditions!

Warmth is not really important but if it's warm I can reduce the tog of my quilt as it's a layered one

I'll look at those suggestions thanks

I particularly like:

green
Purple
reddish
another

but they look very wool & I'm not sure if they would make me itch

I don't know what colour green your bedroom is - this is more minty:

Greengate

No - it's much duller than that - but I like this from that website

YY to Melin Tregwynt. I have one of their gorgeous throws on my bed. It's gone really quite soft with use (think it was a bit stiffer when new but as it's on top of the duvet it never mattered)

It's beautiful wool woven in their original mill next door to their shop between St David's and Fishguard. We used to holiday nearby all the time when I was little and I've been lusting after one for about 30 years now. Very excited to be getting this for Christmas!!!!!

JL do their cushions so if a local branch has some you could always check the weave and wool out there.

Check out dawsons linen online. They do great discounts on big brand names. I got kingsize dorma bedspread (very much like cath kidston) for £25, also a really nice Victoria and Albert one with matching cushions. Smile

Thanks - but I've decided to put my spare money towards sending DD away to school
