If you were going to get married in jeans which kind would you buy?

This is me in two weeks. I'd like to buy a really nice pair of jeans to wear for our wedding (just me, DP, kid).

If you had £150 - £200 to spend on jeans what would you buy? I like things that are scruffy

I have no idea about jeans, but congratulations!! That sounds like the wedding I would like, but DP doesn't want the family to feel left out. I was going to wear the dress I wore as BM at my step-sister's wedding Blush and want to do it before DD grows out of her dress, too. What are you doing about witnesses?

Sorry just my opinion but not jeans to get married in! Hmm I think you will look back in years to come. & regret it. What about a nice vintage dress... Unusual & understated lots of shops online. Or a 50's inspired dress flatters most figures ??

For 100-200??? Barely get a pair of Levi's do you???

For me, I'd be skinny hopefully, and VB ones. Or Hoolihans (I think spelt right). Or Guess. Dunno if budget fits tho...

No idea sorry, but my Mum got married in white flared jeans in the 70's and looked AMAZING and has never regretted it Smile

Nobody cult skinnies. Quite high waisted and keep their shape perfectly. My very favourite jeans.

Otherwise have a browse on the Outnet. Some of the pairs that make the sale are quite distinctive which I suppose would make them a bit more weddingy.

Gobblers...that is so cool :)

probably j brand. i love my goldsigns but marginally prefer j brands.

why not go to donna ida or similar denim boutique and try on as many pairs as they can bring you, then pick your favourite. although some may come in over £200, you could probably then buy online from shopbop within budget.

I think I'd go Selfridge's and try on every pair they have.
Go for the most flattering rather than the label.

I like not your daughter's jeans (NYDJ) when splurging.
A personal shopper at a big JL pointed me in their direction when I was in a post baby style slump.
Awesomely flattering non-mum jeans but a bit expensive for 'normal'.

Yes, NYDJ are my favourites too - never wear any others. They have a really extensive range online.

Hmm j Brand photo ready might be a good option for you - as you'll presumably have photos - they are very flattering. Try a load on at Selfridges or something then order from Shopbop - they will be about half the price and will be delivered within 3 days.

I got married in Miss Sixty jeans and a Cancer Research UK t- shirt. Thoroughly recommend it!

Yes, agree with amber - j brand photo ready - the 811 in impression is lovely and uber flattering. Seem to have gone up by a £100 on shopbop since I bought mine a month ago though!

But do go to Selfridges or somewhere and just try loads on.

Congratulations! And yes what top and shoes are you going to wear?

Wow everyone, thanks for the suggestions! I just popped back to check responses and I'm a bit overwhelmed. When I have more time tomorrow I'll have a look through all the brands - I haven't heard of most of them so that's good.

The last pair of jeans I bought not including maternity cheapy ones were miss sixty. They were £100 about 6-7 years ago and I almost didn't buy them. Best money I ever spent!

I think I'd like either black skinny jeans or blue faded slightly baggy slim boot cut?

I think I will buy a t-shirt or something to go on top. We have a 14 month old who smears food on everything so whatever it is it won't be nice as literally everything gets ruined!

We have invited five close friends and obviously our two kids (2.6 and 14 months). We just wanted to get married all of a sudden, but can't be arsed with planning a wedding. We have no spare time, and it's hard enough getting time to go shopping for jeans let alone anything else!

Thanks all for your positivity. It's nice to share the news!!!

Seven for All Mankind would be the ones for me I never buy any other jeans now. I bet you'll look amazing in whatever you decide and hope you have a great day. :)

Sounds cool! Hope you find thea jeans you want and post the photos on here afterwards.

If you have a child that smears food, I think you should get at least two tops so you have a spare.

ANd maybe some nice jewellary to glam up the look?

And what shoes are you going to wear? I would take the opportunity to buy a really smart pair of boots.
