Bear Paws. As good as Uggs?

Seen them in TK Maxx and read rave reviews of them on Amazon for a quarter of the price.

Worth it? I've read that they are made of the same materials by a similar process in China, as are Uggs.

If they're so great why aren't we all wearing them instead of Uggs?

I got some last winter & they've been great.
Can't say how they compare to Uggs as I've never tried Uggs but I do have a pair of Celtic knee high ones that cost about four or five times the price & the Bears Paw ones are just as cosy. If anything they are a bit more hard wearing in the bad weather as the soles are sturdier.

They are good for the price but not as good as Uggs. I thought they were wool inside not sheepskin like Uggs.

My daughter had bear paws from TKMaxx last year ......they were brilliant and she would buy another pair but they haven't got them in her size.

i've bought some to wear as slippers. they don't seem as sturdy as my uggs but i don't need them to if am only wearing inside, I just want them to be warm and stand up to our uneven floorboards....

I've never had Uggs, but do have a pair of Bear Paws and I love them - sturdy, warm and they feel good quality.

Onto my second pair of Bearpaws and both pairs have stood up brilliant, none of that slouching at the heel I see on some boots.

I've got a pair bought from TK Maxx two years ago and have worn them on many a winter school run in rain and snow. Lovely and warm, and great when it's slippery underfoot. They are so comfy they feel like they should be slippers...

I have had both and the Bear Paws are hugely better than uggs. I got mine from amazon. They are studier than uggs, lasted longer and kept their shape better. I prefer them as they have a more solid sole to uggs so comfier to walk in.

I give mine a spray with a waterproof shoe protector to keep them nice over winter.

I bought a pair in TK Maxx as I can't afford new Uggs, they aren't as good as Uggs. In fact they rubbed the skin off my heels the first time I wore them Angry

They gave DD1 blisters and then the stitching split on both of them. In contrast, she's had my her Uggs four years and they're still going strong and look fine.

I have bearpaws, bought them two years ago and they were great value for money. So warm and toasty to wear, sheepskin lined, treated on the outside so the dirt and water just seems to rub off.

They also have proper soles with good grips and the reinforced backs to the heels mean you don't get any of that horrible slouching that makes the wearer look as if they're walking on the inside of their foot. I wore them a lot when we had all the snow this spring and they performed well.

Very occasionally I will nip out with just my bearpaws on and no socks, and the lining is so lovely and soft against your feet - blissful!

I paid £28 in TK Maxx for the dark sand colour, mid-calf length ones and it was money very well spent.

I would choose them again over Uggs without a shadow of a doubt.

I have both. Bearpaws are tougher leather & slightly rougher sheepskin than Uggs with stronger soles, which makes them both better and worse. Better = more sturdy when outside, worse = can scrape your heels.

Bearpaws, esp in TK, are rare and great value for money. But I prefer Emu and Ugg as my feet are fussy.

They are great but come in a variety of styles & perhaps are not all so hardwearing - you need to pick the right ones.

Daughter has the ones that look like classic Uggs, and they are great - real sheepskin inside. Not sure if they have quite as much heel re-inforcement as Uggs, but they have had a fair bit of wear over a couple of years & not been worn down. (Def not worn every day or anything though, so another reason to be glad at the price!)

Think I have seen some sturdy, biker style Bearpaws in TKMAxx this year, which look like they would wear well.

I have had both.. and have now settled with BearPaws.
If you can, getthe BearPawswith more solid soles..they are fab and don't wear down like the foamier types.

My Uggs only lasted 18m before my toe actaully went through the sheepskin! I was gutted because they were the most comfy things ever...but way too expensive to only last that long.

I now have two pairs of TKMAXX Bearpaws and for the price are far far better value.

Thanks for all your answers. I went and had another look today and couldn't resist so bought a pair these in black. For £34.00.

I've already got classic Uggs but they're three years old and beginning to look it. Comparing the two, they pretty much look identically made. The calf sizing seems to be bigger on the Bear Paws though. Same heel and ankle support. I'm actually really pleased with them but it remains to be seen if they will wear as well as the Uggs.
