I need a new mascara. Any tips? I've tried lots over the years. My current one is Dior which I like but have also had Ampicils by Lancôme in the past.

After a wow one for the christmas season.

I have tried loads and my number one fav is maybelline Colossal Cat Eyes it is ace - lasts well, no smudging or clumping and long, lush lashes. For me it is better than ones i've had that were 4x the price.

Eyeko skinny mascara! Makes my lashes look amazing, doesn't smudge or flake and is water resistant.

Watching with interest as my Bobbi Brown has just run out...

I have quite small eyes pissholes in the snow as my DM says so often fancy mascaras have too long/wide a brush with them. My favourite is Maybelline Great Lash mascara (the pink one). Never clumps, good brush design, can add second coat for more dramatic look.

I have ordered a Avon one as heard they were good - not got it yet but will report back!

I like Benefit They're Real but it has started giving me panda eyes a few months in..........

Countess shock shock at your mum - did she actually say that to you? How horrible!

I rate wide-brushed ones, they just seem to go on so mcUsing Diorshow at the moment and its great!

louwn Sat 12-Oct-13 10:52:11

woops - meant to say go on so much better and really open up your eyes!

For me it's a tie between Max factor false lash effect and 2000 calorie. Have never been as impressed by any of the high end ones as I am by those.

I recently bought Clinique lash power. I really like it as it has a small brush so is easy to coat all the lashes. I don't have v long lashes so it makes quite a difference to my eyes!

the stuff is amazing. never found anything better.

I like Benefit Bad Gal and a MAC one I used to use,but the Maybelline Great Lash is really one of the best going and favoured by many. Most premium brands are a waste of money imo

TheCountessOlenska Sat 12-Oct-13 14:34:02

Oh ha ha, that came out wrong! I mean she says it about her own eyes, and we have the same eyes! We're just being silly grin

Clinique lash power- never smudges, natural looking and lasts.

Second the cat's eyes recommendation. People have commented since I started using it. That's never happened before.

Lancome Definicils is the best - Max Factor 2000 Calorie when not rich enough for Lancome.

Any Mally beauty available from QVC & eBay

For me Lancome Hypnose. I like original and doll eyes.

Benefit they're real. It's tough to remove so need an oil based remover, but it makes my poor little stumps look grand!

Another vote for Clinique Lash Power.
I was recommended it on here as a smudge proof & haven't looked back.

Clinique lash power.. only waterproof one for me..have tried everything.. and my worst. Benefit's They're Real..gave me panda eyes within 20 minutes

boobyooby Sat 12-Oct-13 16:54:16

Another vote for Lancome Hynose.

I always used Clinique before but last year I think they changed something and it made my eyes feel watery.

Another vote for DiorShow - awesome.

No 7 waterproof for me. I have long lashes, the one bit of my face that is great!, think the fairly sparse brush helps me. Had disasters with Hypnose, 2000 calorie, Rimmel scandaleyes. I think maybe they carry too much product for thick, long lashes. The list of rubbish ones, cheap and pricey, is endless but this finally works for me!
