Tear trough filler!

Has anyone had it? I've got bags I hate, does it work well on these?

I'm 40 and have had fillers in other areas which I love but my practitioner doesn't offer this.

I've had it. It worked really well for me and has lasted around a year. It's just about in need of a top up now, so I'm intending going back in the next few weeks. I'm hoping to get my nose to mouth lines done at the same time.

Thanks Agatha Grin Did you have an issue with bags? What age are you?

I'm mid 40s. I had what I thought were bags for quite a few years. Tried concealers, various 'make your eye bags look better' potions, even haemorrhoid cream. Nothing worked. I read about tear troughs and thought about it for about a year before I finally got them done. Brilliant result though. I looked so much less tired. I was looking pretty knackered before Grin.

What other fillers have you had done?

Sounds great! I've had fillers at my cheekbones and a tiny amount at the sides of my mouth - love it! It's like a wee facelift. But I have these bags under my eyes and they look awful in some lights and I want rid..

if they are bags then filler could make them look worse, if it is a trough the filler may help

Thanks topsi, could you elaborate?

It's difficult to see on your own what are bags and what are troughs. I thought mine were bags for year, but turns out they were troughs. I think if you google the procedure and look at before and after photos then they pretty much all look like bags to me, but obviously they're not.

HappyGirl probably best to book a consultation somewhere reputable and see what they say.

Thanks Agatha. When I look in the mirror under 'normal' light I can't see any bags, no excess skin etc. I can see them in lots of photos though and when there's harsh over lighting. Does this sound like troughs rather than bags?

I've got a recommendation for someone who does this treatment from the woman who does my other fillers..

It does sound like troughs, well, like mine were at least. Maybe book a consultation and see what they suggest. If it's somewhere reputable they won't use fillers unless it is appropriate to do so.

AgathaF would you mind telling me details of where you went and the price? I went to a cosmetic place in Reading but they don't do tear troughs and told me to try taking water retention tablets - which I did but it had no effect. I'd really like to get a consultation as I'm only early 30's and I'm sick of people telling me I look tired :-(
