As above. I want to wear black and block jewel colours. Please don't let her say pastels and frilly

Thank you! That was at HoC Conference, great opportunity to check out loads of clothing personalities!

You look gorgeous travelincolour!

This is me doing full Gamine in a work environment

And as that's a link to my FB page, understand if someone wants to report it. Just wanted to show the picture.

:-) One of the consultants I trained with is a Winter RN. Lovely leather coats, brocade, corsets and incredible shoes.

LonelyGoatherd is a newly diagnosed RC, I will point her in your direction.

And yes, Gamine = quirky, neat, boyish.

I feel vindicated in my gothness

ItsNotUnusualToBe Thu 10-Oct-13 23:19:38

Full gamine = Audrey Hepburn-esque? Slim cropped trousers and Peter Pan collars?

I am a Sultry Winter Romantic Classic. Very happy with that.

I hate summer clothes. Love this time of year and the party season.

There's a HoC winter thread around here someplace ...

BelleDameSansMerci Thu 10-Oct-13 23:16:48

I think I'm Ingenue in that HoC definition thingy but can't remember why...

Seem now I'm feeling ungrateful and want HoC analysis. Tsk.

CMB give black to all those who rate as 'deep'.
<sits on hands>

Wow bert great news! <gazes with childlike awe at theatrical sweeping> (I'm a full gamine, which will probably make no sense to anyone else on the thread).

No.

bertandmarble Thu 10-Oct-13 21:54:19

Belle - can you be Autumn and have black? I liked the blue autumn colours...

BelleDameSansMerci Thu 10-Oct-13 17:47:06

*TravelinColour" yes, it was. I soooo wanted to be the equivalent of winter. I bloody knew I'd be flipping Autumn though. I did get black though so not all bad. <tries not to think of lovely new jacket in pastel shade that I now know isn't my colour>

Hurray! I am a jewel winter! And a romantic natural! Watch me as I stride on stage in my black thigh boots and dramatic cape!

winter is bloody hard in summer - my rl mate gets pissed off with bright blue and red

there is only so long you can rock the nautical look withouth looking like somoene off Howard's way

RainierWolfcastle Thu 10-Oct-13 17:09:22

they do! yup they do

RockMummy Thu 10-Oct-13 16:16:18

I knew that I wouldn't be a winter as black hadn't suited me for a long time. I was deluding myself. Turned out be a bright leaf autumn. My life long beautiful relationship with green was totally vindicated. Also my dislike of most shades of pink.

ElizabethBathory Thu 10-Oct-13 15:30:57

I find it really funny how everyone wants to be a winter so they can keep all their black clothes. I AM a winter and I never wore black before having my colours done because I thought you needed to be an olive-skinned Italian woman to pull it off (I am v pale)!

DidoTheDodo Thu 10-Oct-13 12:13:44

in, IN not is.
Are fat fingers a style?

DidoTheDodo Thu 10-Oct-13 12:13:18

I stand corrected! Luckily I blush is a very flattering shade of pink!
Sorry!

Dido We never TELL people what to wear - not the fashion police! But we will show you your best colours. grin

DidoTheDodo Thu 10-Oct-13 11:39:01

I am a winter (hurrah) and very grateful for being able to wear black.
I was dreading being told to wear orange or brown!

Belledame I'm guessing that was Color me beautiful? deep/warm/soft means you are probably an Autumn in the HoC system, but the analysis is slightly different.

carrie74 Thu 10-Oct-13 10:56:24

I'm having mine done soon. Am expecting to be an autumn of some description.

mrsharrystyles Thu 10-Oct-13 08:41:04

I had mine done on Monday. I thought I would be a spring. I'm a soft autumn. I have nothing to wear as all my clothes are white, blue or grey.
It was a complete revelation though and a very enjoyable day.

charitygirl Thu 10-Oct-13 08:25:05

Muted summer is basically the epitome of class. I'm a deep autumn and my colours look expensive, and grown-up. Whatever season you are will look amazing if you embrace it. I

Winters are easiest to shop for though, it's true.
