Can you help me to find a pastel-coloured, non-strapless wedding dress, please?

Hello all.

My friend is getting married in three months and is looking for a (not too expensive) dress to wear. She doesn't want to wear white / ivory, and suits light colours such as pink, pale blue, and pale sea green. She also suits v-neck styles and would like something full length.

Does anyone have any good suggestions, please? It should be fun and easy, but I think it might turn into a bit of a slog...

TIA.

Light in the box makes any of their dresses in a choice of colurs. They take a few weeks to come though so she'll need to get a move on. I suggest she tries on styles until she finds a flattering shape and then picks it online in a standard size rather than going for the custom option.

Thanks. Have you got any experience of Light in the Box? Are they made / shipped from China? What's the quality and fit like? I looked there as a possibility, but with there being that element of risk, I'm not too sure she'd be happy with that approach...

They are made in china but have a better rep than most. That's why I said order a standrad size rather than going for custom because the chinese sites tend to alter a standard size to fit the measurements and the shape doen't always come out well!
I have a couple of friends (whom I met through wedding planning) who have had brodesmaid dresses from LITB and they were amazing for the price. reallylovely and less than half the cost in a bridal boutique.
has your friend tried any brodal shops? They will all have bridesmaid dresses which may meet her needs.

Thanks. Good to know about LITB.

I know she's tried on a couple of dresses in Ghost, and they're the front runners at the moment. Colours aren't quite perfect, though.

No, no bridal shops. Yet. They're kind of associated with the huge, full-on wedding which she wants to avoid. But I agree that her perfect dress may be lurking in one! Problem is that you feel as though you're walking in blind as they don't tend to have their ranges (and crucially their prices!) online. If there was any way of doing research beforehand it might be better...

Oooh, she tried those Debenham ones on last night! Are you her?!?!

Pink one wasn't at all right, sadly. The Jenny Packham one was much better, though it poses a bit of an underwear conundrum...

Someone on here recently was looking for a blush pink wedding dress, think they found one in J Crew in the end. Some of the suggestions were gorgeous. I'll try and find the thread.

I was going to suggest Ghost. They seem to have lovely dresses.

The Ghost dresses are lovely in shape. Just not quite convinced about the colours yet.

tethersend, thanks. Definitely not off white :). That green one is a gorgeous colour!

Just been looking back through the pink dress thread. Some beauties, but very few available. However, good ideas for where to look...

The pink ASOS one is particularly nice. She's tried on the blue Coast one and apparently the shoulders are too narrow.
