Just wondered if anyone could recommend some comfortable and warm wellies for walking in.

Thanks

I've got these to wear up to the muddy rugby training field in the winter.

They're definitely warmer than normal willies, but I've not walked terribly far in them so can't comment about that.

Grin at "warmer than normal willies"

I have muck boots. The riding style. They are warm and comfortable. About £65 if I remember correctly.

IwishMNhadaspellcheckfunction might be a better username!

The ones with the rubber bit to the ankle, then neoprene up to the knee and inside. Warm, soft and waterproof. I think Toggi, Dublin and Mudruckers are names to look for. Lots of horsey people like them. Bit fugly though.

Tsk! nearly woke Dh up snorting at 'warmer willies' GrinGrin

Decathlon sometimes has comfortable waterproof boots in. I keep meaning to check them out for myself. I like the idea of muck boots but they just seem so heavy!

I've got Hunters which are comfortable but not warm. So I got fleecy welly socks randomly from Lidl for about £3 which are knee length and roll over the top of the boot.
Lush and warm. I noticed them in Matalan recently too.

I nearly made the same spelling error in the title! But it is definitely warm comfortable boots that I need!

The hunters look great but a bit more than I wanted to pay. Anybody able to recommend anything?

Yes to the neoprene/ rubber combination for warmth and comfort- my parents both have Muck Boots for working in the garden, chopping logs etc. all year round and swear by them.

Find wellies you like and add fleece welly liners. I wear wellies for work a lot anr hese have revolutionised my feet. Mine are from Arco (health and safety work wear shop), but Hunter and Joules make them too.

I bought some Derry boots from Scats the other week and they're lovely.

They were reduced to about £20.

Not for the vain though I should add!

This. Plus warm socks.

Personally, I wear walking boots plus warm socks for walking and fur lined snow boots for bloody ruby in mid winter.

I have got two pairs of fleece welly liners and I hate them. I have never ever used them, it is too much hassle.

but I am a lazy sod.
