Uniqlo Heatech tops......quick question

I would like to try these but cannot abide anything that is tight & polyester. Looking at the composition I am concerned these will feel bleurgh! Can any seasoned Heatech wearers give some feedback please?

They are close fitting, so go up a size if you want a looser fit. They feel and look like a thin jersey t shirt

They feel more like jersey than the usual cheap squeaky polyester you usually get from cheap shops. Agree with Kristina, they are designed to be fairly fitting, so go a size up. Worth a risk, as if they work for you (as ey do for me), you end up wearing them under everything!

M & S do similar in the exact same composition. I have both and both are great for layering and helping keep warm. They feel nice.

I have loads of them! I think they feel lovely and soft. They are tight as that is how they are designed to be worn, so maybe go up a size or two if you want them looser.

They don't do that shiny, snaggable thing that cheap polyester does.
Or the sweaty underarm thing either.
I really like them.

Normally I wouldnt touch anything polyester with a barge pole.

But the heattech tops I really like and have 3 which I wore to death last year.

I love them- thin and discreet for wearing under things.

I don't find them sticky or sweaty.

Ah brilliant! Thanks for all your replies. I have Reynauds and feel the cold so acutely that I am desperate to find good layers. Off to order some now :)

I bought a heattech vest top which I'm wearing today under a regular top and I am impressed so far.

It isn't bulky and is really comfortable. I agree with sizing up though.

I am tempted to try these this year. I am an 8, but tall(ish - 5'9), and short tops riding up annoy the bejesus out of me. what size should I get - a medium?

foxysocks I've just ordered the medium. I am an 8-10 but long in the body and I have the same problem with standard length tees riding up. Based on the measurements online, I think the medium will be a good fit - not skin tight, more a neat but relaxed fit.

I got the medium. I'm 5ft and the vest top comes over my bum, if that helps. It's really stretchy too, so it should move with your body, which may limit the amount of adjusting you have to do.

Ujj - that's probably right - I'm 8-10 and the XS is quite tight/body con (but still comfortable) and the S is close to the skin.

Last winter sainsburys did their own version, which are cheaper but just as good, I have a mixture of the heatech and the sainsbos and they are pretty much the same-that is lovely and comfy and snuggly

they feel very silky and light and lovely.
I'm wearing one now.
I have at least 8, the oldest have some bobbles, then again they are at least 6 years old.

I'm wearing one now. They're great. I find them long enough, I'm 5'11" and it reaches under my pregnancy bump.

they're not as warm as helly hanson or icebreaker base layers. But they're far more practical for wearing under office clothes!

Eeyoreish - I have Icebreaker layers in various weights for skiing but they are too heavy for indoors IMO, although fabulous for dog walking duty :). Also agree that they are too sporty for wearing under dresses etc.

I am very anti polyester & acrylic so reassuring to hear that they feel nice and silky rather than that awful thick unyielding sweaty polyester. I've ordered two crew necks, a v-neck and a lace-edged camisole. Can't wait to get them.
