Regrowth. Regrowth. Regrowth.

Danger of brassy yellow undertones.

Danger of wishy washy ashy undertones.

Knackers the condition.

Clothes/make-up that look good on you now might not look good on the blonde you.

That do for starters? Grin

And you'd be the same colour as your puppy (who is GORGEOUS!!!!). And that would just be daft.

Planning your life around which weekend you need to do your roots.

Or was that just me?

Don't do it! I did it and the colour looked awful. It's been an expensive mistake!

Roots.

Oh, and it'd make you look just like all the other mums/ Grin

Au naturel is good.

don't do it
I went in for some "subtle highlights" a couple of months ago
I ended up with a full head of yellow hair
It's awful
Teh regrowth makes me look like a badger

I am saving up for some sort of corrective colour (at a different salon)

This is good Grin

See I'd forgotten about having to sort out the brassiness.

And I don't want to look like the dog.

I need to do something though, the world and his wife has dip dyed hair now, I'm bored of looking like a teenager of it now Sad

Grin.

How long until the dip-dye bits grow out? I take it a shorter haircut is not what you had in mind?

Expensive and can trigger irrational feelings of panic when the roots start to come in. I had blond highlights (in a salon) from the time I was 16 until I was 30. I once added up the sum that I'd spent on my hair over the years and it almost made me vomit. I let it grow out a few years ago (with the help of a temporary, very short haircut) and now I'm back to au naturel and I actually quite like it. It does all sorts of cool things in the sun and I eventually want to go grey naturally so I'm sticking with it. Plus, it coordinates with the DCs Wink.

Oh dear lord.

You SEE what happens when I get bored. I have been looking at Autum/Winter haircuts and decided that aysemetric fringes are cool.

And I had scissors...

That sounds like it might not have ended all that well.
Going blonde would dry your hair out.

Grin I knew this was you, Honeydragon!

I went to my hairdresser's and tried to tell her that DS4(3) had cut my fringe - she just looked at me and said 'Children sometimes cut their own hair or somebody else's hair, but not without them NOTICING' Blush.
I'd had the urge to do something about my too-long fringe the night before. With nailscissors...

So, now I cannot look at any of our holiday shots with me in them.

You'd have to completely overhaul you make up!

Report
HoneyDragon · 09/09/2013 23:15

Cut it short and asymmetric it didn't look as if it would be hard. If I can cut my fringe straight wonky should be a breeze.

I'm sure I can buy a hat brazen it out

Sorry, got distracted by 'asymmetrical fringe' Grin

Re blonde:
high maintanance
everybody will assume you are a 'ditzy blonde'
people will start making 'blonde' jokes in your presence
it'll be difficult/expensive/risky to go back to a darker colour
roots
I just cannot see you as a blonde Confused
You'll confuse HullyPup if you look like her

I was a blonde for many years. I think I may getting wistful for my youth.

Ok. So when I've worked out what the fuck to do about my fringe, other than a micro fringe. I need to decide whether to ditch the dip dye. I saw an alarming amount on it on the X-Factor on small girls with camel toe leggings and it scared me.
