Hi

Oh god what am I going to do?

Ok quick back story a wonderful friend of mine is getting married in 4 weeks.

wedding was originally planned for next year but a member of the wedding party has been taken ill so the wedding has been bought forward.

Bride is having a themed wedding, her dress is gorgeous 50´s number its stunning!

there are 3 bridesmaids plus me.

Ok she is litterally just told me what we are wearing! She knows exactly what she wants and I have to say I do think it will look lovely and she really deserves it but now I need to find it! (I´ve agreed to sort bridesmaids out fits and a couple of other bits to help her out on the planning and budget)

Ok so here goes, bride is having this dress in pale lilac in cream with a purple oganza over coat that has black spots and a purple and black belt.

Right the brides maids are all wearing corset tops. in black and purple so there sorted. We have purple fitted cardigan / jacket things which are lovely and purple shoes bride is wearing lilac shoes, again all sorted

Ok, so bride wants 50´s ish style skirts NOT big round numbers, She said she saw them on the tv! They are fitted on the waist and hips (like a pencil skirt) and then flare out at the knee. Can someone please help me find them? Any colour but bride really wants black (black and purple theme)

I should mention this is an EVENING wedding, and we are all trying to make it perfect for them.

Anyhelp most gratefully recieved.

Yes thats the right shape!

How the hell you worked that out from my usless discription?

I think black all the way up would be better though? I think everyone may feel more "comfortable" that way.

I can't do a link but try searching for 'case of the curious bride' in Manchester , it's a specialist retro wedding shop, they will definitely be able to help.

You could replace the bow with purple?

What about this one?

I went to see The Puppini Sisters and they wore something similar.

I love the wedding dress too

There is a website that sells vintage inspired clothing called tatyanna.co.uk. It has gorgeous 50'S style clothing and they are very helpful and I am sure they would be able to order in what you want.
