Please help me sort out my 12 year old - urgently!

I have a gorgeous, bright, funny 12 year old. She has suddenly grown up and I have been useless at bra shopping/ leg shaving etc with her because I always have other kids in tow (including 9yo boy and toddler) and dh works abroad. Tomorrow is my chance to take her out for the day - to Bluewater. I need to know:

1. Best hair removal system for a 12 year old (thinking battery shaver may be easier?)
   

1. Best place for going for bras - trendier than M and S but not naff. Do you reckon she'd freak at being measured??
   

All ideas gratefully received.

My DD started with Immac & progressed to an Epilator at 15. She has never had a razor near her legs & so her hairs are always very soft & fine when they appear.

She would still not let anyne measure her! M&S have done us proud!

re bras - don't discount M&S - their ranges are not all untrendy, and the bras wear well. They'll also measure her if she can bear it, or if she can't at least they have nice big changing rooms so she can try a selection of sizes; and (this may be vital) she's unlikely to see any of her friends in there!
Underwires not strictly necessary at 12 - soft and comfortable better, but there's no actual reason not to have them if they fit properly. Pastel pink is a good choice for not showing through school shirts as much as bright white. Sometimes sports-type ones without a fastener at the back are easier to put on for novices.

Battery shaver (dry, with talc) is handy for armpits-only; Immac for legs to avoid stubble.

god dont do hair removal! shes only 12. she can't possibly look like a grizzly yet.

i get bras from BHS. still not trendy but good - non sexy bras for teens with big norks.

Thank you - we'll start off in M and S. She is really hairy - won't wear shorts or skirts on holiday. Covers herself in a sarong. She's so private I've just not wanted to embarrass her more by having her brother there. I never got facts of life etc from my mum (only child of older mum) so have always been determined not to be so uptight with my own children.

dont shave her - wax her right from the start then by 20 she will be much less hairy - my beautician said is marked - the difference in a girl who has only waxed - not shaved! hth

Thank you - successful day had, bras duly tried on and bought (she wasn't keen on being fitted by the lady - anyway it was really busy). It's really hard to find time for one at a time these days so it was lovely to spend some time with her anyway.
