and I can't seem to find anything anywhere. I fancy a dress with a matching/coordinating hat or fascinator.

Can anybody inspire me please?

Age, height, size, hair colour would all help to chose something suitable and budget!

What's your budget/size/colouring?

Yes what's your budget, colouring, shape of your figure, dress size, fabrics you like, skirt length/cleavage you are comfortable with?

Hello!!! Sorry for delay, tea time bed time etc.

Right, i'm a curvy 14 and tall 5'8 with dark skin and dark hair. Budget I don't really mind, Id just like something so classy and elegant but not old fashioned/mother of the bride ish. I'm in my thirties. Wedding is middle of september so a while, but not too long. It is DP's colleague so really just wanting to look lovely. I have just searched john lewis' 2000 odd dresses and am still stumped.

Struggling isn't the word!

On the John Lewis website they have a whole section for wedding guests. Loads on there to suit all styles/ budgets.

If you have a large budget, I'd avoid coast and JL in case anyone else turns up with the same outfit on...

How about something like this Roland Mouret dress and this vintage hat?

WOW tethersend they are beautiful, thank you so much. Unfortunately the Roland Mouret dress is too much (should have been more specific with budget - realistically up to £200 ish). The Malene Birger dress is beautiful but with it having an open back I wouldn't be able to wear a bra and I really do need one. However I hadn't seen that website so I will have a good scan through it now!

Thank you so much though, it is lovely to have help!!

find a dress you love, then get a milliner to make you a hat/headpiece to match and suit you?

Report
ArtemisCake · 20/08/2013 21:10

these people are great for making a custom designed hat/headpiece if you're in the south east, or pop into the shop to see what they have. Take the dress in when you have it they'll match it for you.

Damsel in a Dress have some gorgeous cocktail/wedding guest dresses that look easy to match with a hat. I love this and this

Or how about something like this or this with a colour hat or fascinator, bright pink or red?
