The mind boggles as you what a woman with a 26" back and a K cup would look like. This is an anorexic with a giant boob job surely?

to, not you

Great news - a lady in Bravissimo told me about Edwards and Millers and I'm desperately awaiting their launch date!

A 26K would be a slim woman with large breasts, Fell - the K cup on a 26 band (probably required by someone size 6-8 so not anorexic) is smaller in volume than a K cup on larger bands. This table demonstrates this nicely.

I'm not a real woman and I must also be anorexic Hmm

Apart from that, this is brilliant news Grin

TheOneAndOnlyFell Ummmm, no, I measure 29.5" under bust and am a size 10/12. I know size 14s who need a 28" back.

Are you wearing the right size bra?

Maybe I just don't understand how this works then. I am an E to F cup and my boobs are big, even on my size 14 body. Under the boobs I measure 33" just did it.) I'm trying to imagine boobs several cup sizes bigger than mine on a tiny person with a 26" back! I imagine it looking a bit like tying two bags of potatoes to a broom handle. Grin

That's obviously not how it works, is it? Confused

The thing is, is that there is no such thing as an E or F cup. Cup sizes are relative to the band size

Can you measure yourself as per this guide and then we can work out what size you should be wearing.

The 33" tells me already you probably need a 32 band.

I'm not convinced that bra manufacturers have kept up with the new way of measuring bra size - whereby your underbust measurement is your band size. Hence the lack of availability of 26 inch bras.

If you go to Rigby & Peller, they don't bother with conventional sizes at all they simply go on look.

This just demonstrates that people think a C-cup is the same size on someone with a 26 back and a 36 back.

Sadly, the majority of people don't understand about cup sizes but that's down to places like M&S continuing to use a wrong and outdated method of fitting.

Oooh this has made my day! I wear 28E, although if it was available I would wear 26F.

A 26 band doesn't make you anorexic. It's a size 6, perfectly normal for someone who is just under 5'2". Hmm

Shame they're going from DD+.

I'm stuck in the desert that is 28D!

Backs are odd. Mine measure 33, but I wear 28-30 depending on brand. Freya's 28 are super stretchy. I just bought a Curvy Kate which is a 30 and it's comfy, but too loose for a new bra in my opinion. I've put on weight over the years and my cup size goes up, but my rib cage stays the same...

Curvy Kate and Freya are notoriously big in the band. Panache tend to come up smaller and Debenhams are ridiculously small.

Debenhams, JL & HoF. I saw some 28Fs and one solitary 28DD.

That's it though.

There's no posh bra shops within 100 miles of here.

After payday I'm planning on buying a bunch online (and returning them too). Problem is compounded by post-bf shallow booblets.

And now I know my current bras aren't fitting properly, in annoyed by them!

SorrelForbes · 19/08/2013 11:20

My local HoF and JL don't stock any 28 bands and the Debenhams only ever has a few in. The two local boutiques don't stock them either and I don't really rate them since they tried to put me in a 34 band (am a 30GG)

On-line is the way to go and tbh it's much nicer trying bras on at home in slow time and not getting all hot and bothered!

I'm 28FF/G and may even be 26 but they didn't do them up to now and no way would I pay to get specially made.

PITA to buy 28 bands that fit well as SorrelForbes said some brands come up big in band and I do like Bravissmo but some of their styles a bit dated.

Twinkle R&P fit by eye (as do Bravissimo) and no measuring tape method can ever be as good, but their fittings will roughly match the "don't add inches" method i.e. whilst they are going by how the bra fits the average woman measuring 32" will end up in a 32 back bra.

This is interesting as I finally got round to measuring myself at the weekend and I have a 26inch back and 33 bust so that would make me a 26g I think? I wear a 32b atm and thought it was a good fit. I have never seen a 26inch band bra and am sure it would be too tight. I am 5ft 7btw and not anorexic.
