the Boden Bistro Crops...

I tried the bistro crops last year (the cotton ones, not the new wool ones) and the fit was rubbish on me - baggy knees, odd length and flarey round the ankles like I was wearing trousers too short for me...but for some reason I ordered the Petite version this season, and they fit PERFECTLY. They are literally my perfect Audrey Hepburn trousers. I'm 5'5", so not technically petite, but they're about the same length on me as they are on the model, so not too short. And I don't have skinny thighs or a particularly small bum, so no idea why the petites fit better.

Now I have to decide whether to get another colour (just got the black ones for now...)

Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone had a similar problem to me with the regular length ones :)

I am evangelical about these trousers. I have three pairs as I really struggle to find trousers that fit so well and decided to indulge (also, I had a 20pc off code at the time). I'm 5 7 and wear the long length as I wanted them ankle grazer length. Love them

I'm 5'7" and wear the longer length ones, perfection. Am tempted by the wool ones for winter.

Hmmmm I am waiting for mine as part of a recent exchange.

I returned the cotton ones last last season- odd fit. They weren't quite right around the 'rise' for some reason and the bum was a bit tight, but not tight enough to size up.

I'm short so am hoping they will be 7/8th length on me and can wear with ankle boots because I can't stand shoes and cold ankles in cold weather and I don't work in an office so they will purely be for 'play wear'.

I am feeling evangelical about them right now too Gilly Grin It's taken forever to find a pair of black cropped slim leg trousers that fit - I've tried so many pairs but they're always too tight on the thighs and too big on the waist. The bistro crops seem to be cut for people with thighs and bums and waists and stuff :)

The question is do I need the dark navy ones or the slate ones now? I'm tempted by the navy but I've had a pair of navy trousers before and they felt a bit like a nurse's uniform on for some reason, even though I loved them on the hanger.

Parey I have the spotty wool ones but in the regular length - they're lovely, and quite a different fit from the cotton ones.

Confused about colours now... I am considering the plain grey cotton ones Missbo, which are called Slate, but I already have the wool ones called 'dark grey melange spot' (adore them!)

ah sorry- I didn't think the cotton ones were still around- but yes of course they are.

Thinking about it, I think I only really like the black ones in the cotton version. If they did a deep cherry red, then I might be interested...

I got a cherry red in summer but I see they've changed it to a coral red now. Check the clearance for summer stock?

Wow, they had my size in the clearance cherry ones! I want to do this look. Thanks again Gilly :)

I have the red ones, they look fab with a crisp white shirt and ballet flats.
