I'm buying a house and need to cut back. There stuff looks cheap and it's BUAV approved.

I need a deep conditioner, shampoo, normal conditioner, mascara, nice bubble bath for when I'm feeling indulgent, a cleanser and a sunscreen for when mine all run out.

I like the little sizes you can buy, brilliant idea.

I'd use any old rubbish for bubble bath usually but animal testing disgusts me and I don't trust big brands.

Shampoo etc is the hardest to replace because I use Aveda.

I love their aloe vera night cream, it's amazing. Also love their hand creams and body lotions. But they're not cheap. Not used their makeup recently so not sure about that.

X post. I love Aveda shampoo but find Aussie works just as well, if that helps.

I'm pretty sure all superdrug own brand stuff is BUAV approved.
The skin care gets really great reviews.

Body shop is owned by l'oreal isn't it, so if you're very anti animal testing you might want to avoid it.

Love their aloe range, really sorted my skin out. Chamomile eye make up remover is AMAZING! The ginger shampoo is great.

Superdrug is BUAV, as is sainsburys.

I forgot about loreal owning it. Bugger.

I used to use Aussie, I'm getting older though and my hairs changing so it doesn't work now.

Aveda shampoo works out good value if you buy the big sizes they sell on QVC.

I buy the tea tree facial wash and face pack for the DC and it has sorted their skin out. I use the vitamin D moisture mask. I did buy a hair mask but wasn't impressed, tbh.

I get lots of codes, like spend £50 get £25 off and free delivery, spend £60 get 40% off, so tend to stock up then.

Oh yes, always buy on line as every week they have a good offer on.

Why would an adult woman want to smell like a strawberry?

It's not what it was in the 80's/90's and its not that cheap!
I do shop there once a year for bronzer though Grin

It's moved on a lot since it's strawberry days! Very cheap though if you buy on line,3 quid for face cream is a bargain.

It's 30% off at the moment. It's usually got a cashback offer on quidco or topcashback too.

Yes they've become a discount retailer, there are always good offers online. Never pay full price.

I like it - I love their vitamin E skincare range, I would choose it over higher end stuff. Yes, shop online - they do offers all the time, never pay full price.

Shower gel watery and seems to last about three days, avoid. The Rainforest shampoo and cond widely recommended on here didn't do anything for my dry hair. All the make up I've bought has been good. They're only cheap relative to beauty hall brands though, not cheap like a range at Boots.

I honestly think you're far better of browsing in the supermarket. Body Shop isn't at all cheap really, isn't especially 'small brand' (though obviously smaller than supermarkets, I know!) and a lot of it smells horrible. My skin tends to flare up so I may not be the best example, but I've had reactions to some of their stuff - I think it used to be marketed as all natural and lovely and full of herby fruity things, but it's actually mostly about as harsh as paint stripper.

Little sizes won't be economical - better to buy big amounts then decant if you must.

How is it expensive? I pay roughly 3 quid for face cream on line compared to 11 in the shop. Yes, but in the shop and it's pricey compared to online.
