What age are people who wear Boden?

I don't mean children but the grownup clothes. I've always wrongly or rightly associated it with middle-class mums, am I wrong? Am I just stereotyping here?

I've been wearing it for 10 years. The simple jersey tunics/dresses.

Now 41. I think they're mostly well made and bargainous in the sale- dont pay more than about 40 quid for a great dress.

Love their pull ups for bed and lounging too. Had some 5 years, they wash great.

My mother wears a lot of Boden. She's 58. I'm 34 and tend to think its a bit old for me. Have got a couple if their cashmere things, but all the really "bodenny" stuff is quite middle aged.

Late 40's here.

You have to pick very carefully, and wait for the sales or at least 40% off with free p&p and free returns.

It depends on what you buy and how you style your outfits. Jeans/chinos with a long sleeve-t or cashmere cardi should look ok on anyone, not just middle class mummies.

I'm 39 and Boden makes me look mumsy.

I think the age range is quite wide from, say, 30 ish up. No idea if you have to be a mother or not. As with all retailers you have to pick and choose carefully .don't think they'd claim they were at cutting edge if fashion but do have some good basics.

I'm 41 and wear a bit of Boden as do my mum (65) and my sisters (38 and 32). I wouldn,'t describe myself as middle class but we are all on the bigger(16 -18) side so maybe that has something to do with it?

I'm 32 & have been wearing Boden for a couple of years, mainly their tunics, t-shirts & cardigans.

I'm 35 I buy the childrens clothes and I have bought sandals once for myself but I just can't bring myself to buy the ladies clothes.
It's not particularly stylish and it all just looks a bit frumpy and shapeless.

It's the type of wardrobe you own if you don't think much about what you're wearing.

As for the gents clothes, why are they like toddler clothes for grown ups?!

I would wear some if I could afford it. it's so expensive!

I do (30s) but certainly wouldn't have worn it before 30. It's fine for classic clothing, avoiding the busy prints and frumpier designs.

Just heard Johnny Boden interviewed on Radio 4 (does that make me middle class?). The words "middle class", "middle England" and "smug" were used a lot. No mention of age.

Me? In my forties but don't buy Boden. Far too expensive.

I'm 34 & have had a few things from boden over the past year. There's a lot of stuff I wouldn't want/wear but that's true of most places. The things I have had have been good quality & are lasting well (mainly knitwear)

Over 40. I'm 30 and have one dress which I wear for work. SIL is 31 and has one jumper.

They have some nice things but aside from the odd item it's where we'll be in 5-10 years not now. A different SILs mum is in her 50s and wears a lot and looks lovely.

nearly 44 here. I have been wearing Boden since my twenties but I am a very traditional conservative dressing type.

i'm 40, and whenever i look through the catalogue i think "that'll be lovely when i'm 60"

I bought a lot when I was in my 30s, and most of it is still in good nick and wearable a decade or more on. But I haven't bought anything for years - their sleeves aren't kind and quite a but comes up skimpy there days. I thought it had got younger, not older.

I'm a 35 year old mother of two and expecting third.

I've been wearing Boden for 4 years, my 5 month old since birth - love the quality and styles!

I wear it and am ancient ( mid 50s) and have bought it from being late 30s. However, even I find most of it frumpish. I usually buy a piece or two of knitwear, the odd top and basic trousers - but never without 20% off.

One reason for buying is good customer service- I usually order loads in the previews at 20% off and return 99% of it.

42' wearing since 39. Great smart work clothes, but I only buy dresses
