I took 4 for a week long holiday. One blew off the balcony one night though so that only left 3!!

None. I have a one-piece swimsuit. I managed to forget this on the day I went to the beach on my recent holiday, and went swimming in the Med in shorts and bra. (Nobody seemed to notice or care.)

My dh would say that's plenty too. In fact he'd probably say it's one too many. Anyway that's why I don't bother asking his opinion...Hmm

I'm planning to take 4 tops and a few mix and match bottoms. Mn says mix and match bikinis are ok (I asked the other dayWink)

Probably 4 or 5 bikini's/costumes. If it's a hot holiday, it's what you wear most of the time.

I've never owned more than 2 at any time, enough to keep the strap marks varied... you just rinse them out and dry them overnight... why would you need more?

I wear one pieces, but never own more than two or think that would be necessary. One on, one hanging up to dry.

I'm taking 3 on my week long holiday. All the same style just different colours, so I don't end up with lots of strap marks!

One swimming costume, I'm now feeling a bit odd.

I don't sunbathe though as I burn so easily, only wear the costume to actually swim.

I take more than 2 pairs of pants as well even though I could wash 1 pair at night and dry them out!

I think it depends what you do, if you just lie around on a lounger all day then you need less. I might go in the pool with my sons in the morning and then after lunch go to the beacn and then another dip in the pool later, so will change between activities. I usually take 4-5 bikinis.

I have 6 put aside to take for my fortnights holiday but may only take 4 - depending how well the packing goes.

  1. We used to have a pool, and I never ever used more than 3 pairs. On most beaches, if you lose something, you can buy a replacement on the spot.

One swimsuit. I'm too pale to get too much flesh out... Boots doesn't stock enough sun cream to protect me in a bikini for two weeks!

  1. One to wear, and one to wash from the previous day.

I hate sitting in a wet bikini so change every time I have a dip in the sea or pool. For 2 weeks take about 10!
