Advice on this suit for family wedding please ...

I am thinking about ordering this suit from Hobbs for a family wedding. Do you think black shoes would go with it? (Hence black handbag too). What would you wear underneath it - nothing or just a camisole type thing?

Here goes the link (firs time!!)

OK, doesn't work - it's the pink skirt suit on second page of "suiting".

love it, not sure on wedges with it but like the scarf

Fab www! Thank you! Def not into those wedgies either, and probably not the matching shoe-colour as I'd then need to get a matching handbag ... pink overload methinks! I've got dressy black high-heeled ones which I think might go quite nicely with it. Or should I go for a paler colour?

Great suit.

Are you going to an evening thing and when is wedding - were I you I would definitely wear something underneath so I could take the jacket off if necessary - a little silk top or something.

Personally don't care much for bright pink with black - I'd maybe try cream or green.

black doesn't offend me with pink

love the suit!

wouldn't do black myself - would do cream silk camisole thing as suggested below with natural, cream, straw or stone-coloured shoes and bag (and hat of course if necessary).

I think its vile - sorry!

I like it - not so sure about the black though. But personally I find suits a bit difficult for a situation where you'll want to take the jacket off - they are so dependent on the jacket to look good - as soon as yuo take it off you're in a skirt and top, which I never feel that great in - tends to feel a bit ordinary. for weddings I much prefer a dress.

it is a lovely suit but could look a bit too severe if you are not careful ... and I agree with last poster (name too long to repeat!) it could look quite ordianry when you take jacket off... I prefer dresses too!

Lovely
Nowt underneath

Thanks for the advice. I've seen some fab sparkly, dressy heeled mules in Next which might look quite good, as I'm not convinced about the black either - might look too severe, as mentioned. Am dying to try it on, but I live abroad so will have to wait until I arrive at mil's on Saturday (if it's arrived by then - I haven't ordered it yet as the orderline is shut today. Let's hope they have one in stock!) I'm not planning on taking the jacket off (perhaps just opening the buttons) - although I'll be there for the evening part too, we won't be staying late as we've got the littlies to consider!

I would put red orange or pink accessories with it

I wouldn't do mules.
Too informal.
How about a very high sleek pair of patent leather pumps??

Lovely.
I think actually that colour of pink does go with the black, and the scarf looks great. Black camisole underneath in case hot.
Then black shoes (easy) a must.

how about a nice chocolate brown instead of black? not as heavy.
you could even go for silver. there are some lovely silver sandals/bags around.

OK. Have now ordered it - let's hope it fits well! I think I'm going to stick with the black shoes/cami/handbag as I've got all of those already. Although I'm going shopping when we get back to the UK on Saturday so that may change ...!

Great suit - and black might make the pink less girly? I would wear a camisole in case it gets hot.

Hope you like it when it arrives!

Update - suit arrived on time and fitted like a glove - felt really nice in it and have had lots of positive comments. Now all I need is an excuse to wear it again!! Thanks for all your comments.
