Beige or white bra??

I've bought a lovely lilac lace dress for an upcoming wedding. At the back there is no lining so my bra is visible. I have a beige bra and a white one (not buying any more, still BF and boobs will shrink when I give up!). My skin is very pale so the beige is darker than my skin. So a white bra is better? What do you think?

I'd buy a different dress or gey a £5 camisole. I don't really think see-through bra-revealing dresses are appropriate at weddings! But maybe that's just me smile

it's not beige it's nude!

I have a lovely ck 'nude' which looks great under paler colours

It depends upon the bra.

if you want undrrstated, beige is best.

But a pretty lacy white bra, visible abut demure, can be a real confidence booster!

Get the dress lined. Beige or white bra under lilac lace sounds bad.

I have loads of white thats what I wear most days. Would wear flesh under lilac dress though if it would show

I don't own a white bra either. I wear nude under white shirts etc.

I have about 5 white bras. Would probably go for beige with your dress.

yes, agreed, it's ugly as fuck. Practical though.

beige underwear is so grannyish
like moth balls
and american tan tights

MrsLettuce Mon 27-May-13 17:18:34

I've not had a white bra for years either smile

I've got one white bra, but I've realised that I never wear it after my white shirt died a death last year...

SorrelForbes Mon 27-May-13 10:51:03

Yep, I don't own a white bra either.

intersting no one wears white bras.

I only have one and an anicent minimiser. agree nude way better

TenbyChristmas Mon 27-May-13 08:28:55

I'd go for the nude bra. And a spray tan - might help to even out the colour gap? X

Justfornowitwilldo Mon 27-May-13 02:45:11

Resistance is futile.

FamiliesShareGerms Mon 27-May-13 02:38:36

Beige. But better to spend £5 and get a vest / camisole

Lynnco2905 Mon 27-May-13 02:37:29

White- there's something about Borge bras I don't like.

Justfornowitwilldo Mon 27-May-13 02:25:02

<Looks down top>

She lied.

For a bra that will show through I'd go for as close to your skin tone as possible.

scottishmummy Mon 27-May-13 02:18:43

white

EleanorFarjeon Mon 27-May-13 02:04:32

Definitely not white.

Last time I was at Rigby & Peller, the assistant told me nobody wears white bras anymore!

cafecito Mon 27-May-13 01:53:20

ivory or light pink would be good - I know you said you're not buying another bra.. hmm..- otherwise the beige one you've got would be better than white or could you put a little vest thing underneath it?

MrsLettuce Sun 26-May-13 20:53:18

Ah, right. Hadn't understood we were talking about unlined lace - thought thin cotton. TBH it'd be best just to get in lined if you don't want to buy another bra.

nextphase Sun 26-May-13 20:44:40

Could you put a vest top underneath?
With slits/holes for feeding through if required?

freerangeeggs Sun 26-May-13 20:37:39

Beige definitely. You might be able to get a special bra with 'invisible' straps... I hate them usually but if it's under lace it will genuinely be invisible and should look fine.

MrsLettuce Sun 26-May-13 20:36:44

yy, beige. White will glow through, beige not.
