holiday clothes for plus size?

Off to kos in a few weeks and have damn all to wear. Where can I get flattering holiday clothes for size 18? Thinking a couple of dresses, some shorts (?), strappy tops? I am starting to dread this holiday!

New look/Dorothy Perkins and h&m are where I get most of my stuff from and I'm an 18 when not pregnant, I find bubblehem tops slimming on me and got some nice ones from new look.

Ach, that;s easy done. We'll get you sorted. What's your budget? Usual style? Shape, height and colouring?

Oh, and do you have a swim suit / bikini sorted? Hat? Shoes?

Dotty P's works for me. Get some of their cut offs, vest tops and summer knee length dresses

OK, am 5 ft 9ish, 38, and have lost all sense of my style over the past couple of years. Big no to a bikini, I have a huge tummy which must be covered! OK legs, can't wear round neck things. Have plenty of shoes! Go for it, dress me! Budget, not more than say £40ish for a dress? But would pay more if I'll wear it again.

I got some nice linen chino style shorts in next the other day in a 16, they go up to 20 or 22 I think and fit nicely and cost about 18 quid, in black, white, denim-y colour and possibly green. Mantaray in debenhams do some nice beachy sort of dresses up to size 20 at least, fit is pretty generous. Marks and Sparks swimming costumes are not that exciting to look at but hold you in in the right places! White stuff have some pretty t shirts and the sizing is very generous, I am a big 16 and have had to get some in a 14 (am currently on holiday and this is basically what I have taken with me!)

A couple of bargains

100% cotton beach cover up. Great shape. Either colour would be nice, the white is likely yo be less transparent.
like this sun dress

will have a proper look now.

I love primark for holiday stuff, really cheap so you can buy loads. I'm also a size 18 and suffer in the heat with my thighs rubbing together( sooo sexy, I know!) I buy lots of strapless short sundresses and wear them with 3/4 leggings for sightseeing or evenings when I might have to walk quite a bit.

Also eBay is pretty good for a bargin, if you've got the time to trawl through all the rubbish.

So Primark goes to a size 18? I always assumed they stopped at 16??

The stuff I bought was in the holiday/ beach section. I bought large and I'm more leaning towards a 20 than an 18. It really is luck in there with the sizing, depending on the style

I've just bought some summery bits from matalan ( on line ) which were a good fit.

Primark actually goes up to a 20 in some things - brilliant for holiday clothes, everyday pants, I like their "linen" trousers for a cheapy holiday buy.
