I hope this is still acceptable!

Dresses are so, so short everywhere!

Leggings mean I don't have to fake tan Blush and keep me warm!

Will you be wearing leggings this summer?

No way.

They completely ruin the look of pretty summer dresses.

There are long enough ones out there but agree that Primark etc are full of barely arse skimming frocks. And I'm only wee so who exactly are they designed for?? Confused

Gah.

Is definitely better than the person I saw yesterday with v thin leggings on and a top that didn't cover her bottom. At least I could see she was wearing knickers I suppose....

God no.

I certainly will - either leggings or footless tights - as I suffer with veins on my legs and need an alternative to the maxi dress.

I've bought cropped leggings for some dresses from last year that my huge bump have rendered too short this year. Dresses thst come to mid/low thigh or longer i just wear alone. Long leggings under look queer to me, shorter ones look nice imo.

I don't wear short skirts but if the weather carries on like this I will be hiding leggings under everything to keep warm!

Cropped leggings for me, much too afraid of showing tomorrows laundry every time bend down to play with the kids.
But then I wouldn't describe myself as very fashion conscious :-)

No, not leggings. It looks horrid, completely ruins the look.

Tights (maybe thick ones if it stays like this!) or jeans.

Not in a million. Commit to the skirt!

No, not a good look.

Leggings under a dress and particularly leggings under a skirt will make almost any dress look dated. Exception allowed if you are pregnant (fewer choices in maternitywear).

Opaques and sheer tights are fine, but don't go for the cropped legging look.

Dresses are garments that come to mid calf. Anything shorter is a tunic and can be worn with leggings under it!

Report
ihatethecold · 24/05/2013 15:58

I must be dated then. Shock

Very summery dresses I wouldn't but normal dresses I would. After 3 pregnancies how am I supposed to hide the damage (veins etc)?

Also if its above the knee to much then they need coverage.

Knee length I can cope with the exposure Wink

I was thinking this about a white dress i have bought for summer. But white leggings? Think it could look bad...

So leggings no people, what are women with unsightly varicose veins supposed to do? If it's warmish and you don't fancy a maxi dress or trousers, what would you suggest? Is a tunic and leggings ok?Genuine question...

Sl1nkyMalinki · 24/05/2013 16:10

Surely anything shorter than a couple of inches above the knee will require leggings? Or is that classed as a tunic?
