Help! I need shoes and a cardi to go with swing dress :)

I am giving my sister away for her civil partnership in August and she has let me pick what I want to wear.
I suggested this and she loves it!
I am a size 10, 5ft 6in.
Can anyone help me find shoes and a cardi or something to keep me a bit warmer as I do feel the cold.

I tend to go for black patent heels and hate open toe.

Budget is about £45 for shoes max and £30 for cardi or something. :o
TIA

I love the last pair of shoes!
I also love the cardi, I would go with black so it matches the shoes. Thanks :)

I am looking at this petticoat here
What do you think? :)

Well, IME the petticoat makes the dress. Hence my linking so under budget . I've not had a ladyV petticoat they probably are OK but the movement is likely to be stiff and it might be scratchy to wear. The excess on the accessories budget plus the petticoat budget brings these into budget. It really is worth investing, the movement is amazing and they are lovely and full but not stiff so they don't twat you in the face when you sit down. TBH I'd always go with a good petticoat black or white 'cause they go with so many dresses and make a cheap as chips dress look much pricier.

I wish I could wear white but not allowed :o

MrsLettuce that does make sense. Which colour whould you go with for that dress, I am aiming at black?

MrsLettuce speaks wisely... I have a petticoat which I do not wear as it is many thick layers of netting which I disappear behind when I sit down Blush I'm treating myself to one of those chiffon petticoats for the summer Smile

You are bringing back memories I used to use DMs real 50's petticoat as a fairy skirt.

Either colour would be fine but I have a black one, means I can't buy dresses in very pale colours but I prefer darks and brights anyway. I can try and do some photos of the movement / sitting for you (both) if you want.

Meant add I love that style and my going to weddings dress is a toned down modern version. Not sure I could put my size 16 hips in a full 50's petticoat and still fit through the door.

Have a wonderful day. My DDs threw the UKIP leaflet away because it was against gay marriage. If a 12 y thinks people should just be happy why can't everyone else.

Thank you Startail. :)
My sister was married before to her ex dh, he slept with my mum. Really.
She found her df and I have never seen her so happy and settled. They treat each other with mutual respect and I couldn't be happier or more proud of them :)

I love the dressSmile
Can I ask how long it is? Does it come to above/on or below your knees?

I love fifties dresses, but as an ancient 5'8", I need them to at least come to on my knee!

THey give the length of the dresses (per size), have c&p'd so excuse odd formatting:

i am 5 '6 and mine sit just on knee.if you get a petticoat they are a wee bit longer which.should make it the right length for you.Their lovely hepburn dresses are longer and sit nearer mid calf.

I love those little boleros!

I have one of those dresses, I'd swap out the belt for something a bit more fancy.

The prices are excellent for the petticoats - I spent twice that on mine (to go with my polka dot Lady V Hepburn!) and it's horrible. They sent me one that was too small for a start!
