I don't know how it happened or when it happened but suddenly everyone I know and see is wearing silk pyjama print trousers, they all look splendid. How and why? And why do I look like a Christmas decoration in similar?

I saw stripey dungaree shorts today too hmm

cafecito Tue 14-May-13 20:03:33

last year and the year before!? my goodness!

xlatia grin

When I see these on other people I think they look okay, casual and easy to wear.

When I try them on the flesh of my buttocks and thighs seems to come unattached from the frame of my body and give an epic amount of wobble. Bad Look.

rootypig Tue 14-May-13 19:44:26

they were on trend....last year and the year before (and the year before). now Pippa Middleton is in them! so it's over, don't worry grin

get yourself a pair of dungarees grin grin

AnyFucker Tue 14-May-13 19:39:57

Just in the interests of research I tried a couple of pairs of these things on today

I looked a complete tit

xlatia Tue 14-May-13 10:04:16

OP, this has made me laugh so much because the other day I went to Primark and actually ended up buying a pair of fake silky PJ bottoms to wear in public! grin
Disclaimer: I'm due to have DC2 in 5 weeks time and decided that slouchy trousers are the way forward, at least this summer. Under normal circumstances I don't think I'd want to be seen wearing them with the fabric clinging to my wobbly bum.

i have some and look an arse in them
mistakenly i got patterned one when i really needed black silk
wear with a leather top i got ages ago and NEVER wore as I felt a dick in it. Now I know I am and have no issue with the odd looks i get.

MikeLitoris Mon 13-May-13 22:44:33

I have these for work. Not as smart as your link just but so lovely on.

justasecond Mon 13-May-13 22:32:47

Better link

justasecond Mon 13-May-13 22:31:29

I love these, wish they were available in UK

cafecito Mon 13-May-13 22:16:02

you confirm my suspicions. they are everywhere
but why!?
high waisted would be even worse on me, I'd look like a hot air balloon grin

Celticlassie Mon 13-May-13 21:32:04

I quite like these ones, but don't know if I have the guts. Am v short.

MikeLitoris Mon 13-May-13 21:14:56

these are on my shopping list this week. They are high waisted too. Very flattering on.

AnyFucker Mon 13-May-13 21:07:33

Imagine the buttock wobble in clingy fabric ? shock

EeyoreIsh Mon 13-May-13 21:05:19

I do worry that they'll look silly on me. Whilst I'm long and leggy, I am broad of hip sad

I would definitely need a slightly heavier fabric.

AnyFucker Mon 13-May-13 17:48:57

Those Zara rags are bloody awful

Kikithecat Mon 13-May-13 17:05:30

The Zara model looks hideous in them so I'm out.

bishboschone Mon 13-May-13 16:55:37

Exactly Maca.. I am little and nothing is going to change that, they are flattering on me and I have a good albeit a little jlo bum so it's all good .

xTillyx Mon 13-May-13 16:07:01

love the print of Pippas trousers but not the cut. There was some nice monochrome ones in New Look last week

MacaYoniAndCheese Mon 13-May-13 16:04:37

I think they are a great summer alternative to shorts for those of us with Shetland Pony legs less than perfect pins. I'm in.

Snowgirl1 Mon 13-May-13 16:03:22

Oops, sorry - seem to have accidentally posted twice.

Snowgirl1 Mon 13-May-13 16:02:46

Printed trews are very on-trend I hear.

H&M do some

Zara also do some and some more and some stripey ones, I quite like these ones as a bit of a toe-in-water-approach and they've got these too and these they even call pjama style.
