What cardi/jacket to this dress?

So lately I bought this Jaeger dress (and love it to bits!)

dansedelune.tumblr.com/post/50161086849/jaeger-dress-kurt-geiger-shoes-mulberry-lily

and some new shoes. Currently I only have this white Zara cropped jacket and a navy cardi which go well over the dress.
Anyone have ideas what might work well with it? I don't own many dresses or cardi's as I tend to wear jeans a lot, so could do with investing in a couple of new things to cover arms in chilly weather.

Black seems to go really well with this particular dress, and navy, but I am wondering about a grey cardi or jacket.........would love a slim fit grey boucle but can't find one. I am sort of new to dresses, so a bit unsure. I have a nice trench for outdoors, but want something lighter than a proper coat.

I know the pic is daft, but it is part of my tumblr/pinterest outfit whatsit.

lightweight grey boucle

Really not sure if it would go with the dress though

A white boucle, a la Keira, would be lovely

I think http://fashionbombdaily.mobify.me/2012/02/21/get-the-look-rochelle-wisemans-coral-scalloped-short-suit/ coral and yellow would also look nice with that shade of blue

Not those actual blazers that I've linked but something in a similar colour

Thanks MsWinnieBaygo, that's the type of thing, but you might be right about it not suiting. Maybe grey isn't ideal...navy perhaps. I really want something fitted, for the skirt really puffs out, so a baggy top half looks quite odd.

Thanks!

MsWinnieBaygo you are amazing, thank you! I really like the green one, although it is a colour i've never worn so a bit apprehensive. Love that style though, it is ideal!

The red one from your link led to this

shop.mango.com/GB/p0/mango/new/boucle-cropped-blazer/?id=81101353_N1&n=1&s=nuevo&ie=0&m=&ts=1368311522005

but i love it! my fave so far. so wary of mango sizing though...

Oops was meant to be this one but agree that the one above is v nice

Agree that mango sizing can be a bit hit and miss - I sometimes have to go a size up for tops and jackets and a size down for dresses Grin

I think John Lewis sell Mango stuff so order from the JL website as it will be free delivery and returns if you want to get a few different sizes. If you order direct from the Mango website they charge for returns.

Oh forget it, for some reason it's done it again although I was definitely looking at and linked to a red boucle jacket!! If you search red boucle on the mango site it will take you to the red one.

No worries! I will definitely try JL for mango. True about sizing, some stuff its very small, yet many of their jackets bury me (small shoulders here), so always a risk. May have a look next time i am in city :)

I LOVE that green boucle. So expensive though. Is boucle a trend that will date do you think?

Not sure, but like most things it may begin to look dated at some point. It is described as a 'novelty' yarn, so make of that what you will! Aren't Chanel noted for popularizing boucle jackets?...I'm not too sure really.

I like them because they're often more structured than a regular cardi, but they're not as bulky as an actual jacket.

Actually I am tempted to buy one as we have a Bank store here and i could return it if it doesn't fit.
I hope it isn't too 'fluro'!
