Help me find high waisted jeans like these (links!)

Hi Ladies,

I'm having a problem fitting myself into jeans at the moment. I'm an 12 with a bit of a pot belly, tallish and I appear to have large thighs. I have deduced this by being unable to fit into most high street skinny jeans! By the time I get a pair that fit over my thighs the waist band and hips will be far too big. I like the look of these but one of the reviews mentions a thigh measurement of 15". Mine are 20" so they're out :(

I then had the idea of trying some plus size type shops, so I ordered these in a 14 but they're far too big all over.

I must have tried on hundreds of pairs. All I want is a blue pair and maybe a coloured pair. Hell, if they fit me I'd buy every colour going! Does anyone else have this problem? Any ideas which shops might cater for me?

I feel a trip to New Look coming on tomorrow. I'm giving up ordering online, all I do is buy stuff and send it all back.

ilove... I've tried Next, a no go unfortunately :( but thank you.

New Look ones start at an 18 by the looks of it. Waist is a 12 but I do have the thighs of a size 18 :)

New look tend to be true to size. I'm a large 16 sometimes an 18 and I fit in their skinny jeans. I have a much smaller waist than hips but find the new look ones fit both easily. They have a variety of leg lengths, lots of styles and lots of different colours in at the minute as well.

Oh, and I have 25 inch thighs (just measured) and the new look skinnies still fit comfortably in their standard sizes not the plus size range.

I also find with newlook that tyou don't get a saggy bum bit between thighs and bum they seem to cling really well and keep it. Next are awful for the gap between bum sticking out and thighs.

Maybe New Look will have something after all then! Definitely not going to order online though!

Definitely go in store and try on as many styles as you can. They are one of the better places for inexpensive jeans though. They have lots of nice colours in at the minute as well as standard black and blue. Hope you find something that fits Smile

Have you tried Gap? I tried on some of their high waist skinnies recently and thought they were quite generous around the thigh (and I am not skinny of thigh lol) Have to admit they weren't quite doing it for me but not sure why, fit just didn't seem quite right for me.

I haven't tried Gap recently. I have an old pair of Curvy Straight bought at the Gap outlet. They're a good fit for the first hour that you wear them then they get larger and larger and need much hoiking up!

I love my Gap High Rise Skinnies. I've just checked the website and they've disappeared! This is not good. They've been unavailable for about 10 months and only popped back on to the site in Feb!
