Can you find me some swim wear?

Swimwear is needed as we are going to centre parcs soon.

I can't even decide what to buy - swimsuit, tankini or bikini Confused

I'm 5foot 2, size 8 top and 10ish bottom. I have a 30dd chest and a long body but short legs. Hmm my tummy is a bit wibbly and rounded with a CS overhang.

Where should I start?
I think I'll need something fairly robust for messing about with the dc in the pool/ slides.
Would I be best to hide the stomach in a cossie or brave out a bikini?
Is a tankini the way forward? Or will I forever be hoiking the top down as there may well be an annoying bit of squishy tummy trying to escape. Blush

What I want is a magic formula to tell me what style to buy and then be pointed in the right direction! :)

I have a mental rule. Municipal type pools are always swimming costume.

I don't know why. Prob as you aren't tanning

I always think bikinis are weird in a swimming pool. I went with the DCs last week and only actually own a bikini, and felt really self conscious the entire time. Which is a little silly as many other pool users were about size 22, wearing bikinis and not remotely concerned, so there was no reason at all for me to be. Ho hum.

Personally I would go the bikini route - far more comfortable and you soon realise that any imperfections you may think you have are nothing compared with most of the other bathers. However, that's just my view - I do tend to say "to hell with what people think" provided I am happy with it. Bought a couple of new bikinis at the weekend in anticipation of summer Hmm and I am first to admit to needing to lose 20lbs but will wear them regardless Blush

I agree. Bikinis weird.
Everyone's pretty porky and white.
It's hardly saint tropez

Oh bin general I'm all for bikinis regardless of size. Just not in indoor pools

Thanks everyone!

I think you're right about swimsuits for a pool, bikinis for the beach/ sun bathing. :)

So now where to look?

I have this, but in red and blue, Zoggs cozzie which I love. I'm about the same size as you, height and weight, and it fits well.

If I was looking again I might have gone for this though. Look at that sale price!

Oh that sale one is nice thurlow! :)

I'm not so sure about the belted one. Confused

I've ordered the zoggs one with the wiggly shoulder bit and a speedo one in a couple of sizes.

Hopefully something will fit...

Just got back from center parcs ... Definitely a robust swimsuit if you will be going on any of the slides etc.

I saw lots of boobage malfunctions on the exit of the slide!

Wiley I have def decided on a swimsuit. I don't want a boobage malfunction! Shock Blush

Bummer! :(
None of them fitted. The zoggs one with the swooshy shoulder shape was possibly half a size too small or maybe a little short in the body.
The speedo one was WAY too small in the 8 and the 10 wasn't the right shape in the boobs.

Back to the drawing board.

Anywhere else with swimsuits that are a bit longer in the body?

Paddy - I'm only 5foot 2 though. Confused

I've ordered some stuff from fatface now. They had free delivery over £60, a £20 voucher when you spend over £75 and free returns.

Times like this I wish I was a bloke! Hmm

For Luna has lovely swimwear. Pricey but worth it. Holds in my c section overhang. It's also owned by a mn'tter. Keeping it in the family!

Those are nice bunty but tbh they're a bit too retro for me. :)

I know everyone hates M & S on here but they do swimsuits in a range of cup sizes for the more curvy women.

Thanks bun!
I did look at m&s online but everything looked a bit old or too per una-ish! :)

I manage to try on the fat face ones I ordered during an unexpected trip to Birmingham yesterday. They'll all be going back! WAY too short in the body. I couldn't even touch my boobs with the swimsuit! Shock I'm only 5foot 2 so can't have that freakishly long body! Hmm

I did buy one in debenhams which is the best so far. It's not exactly exciting but it fits fairly well and looks robust enough for chasing the dc in the pool. It's a Maine one and had 20% off yesterday. :)
I'll try and link but on phone.
