Oh my god what have I gone and bought?! BaByLiss Pro Perfect Curl Styler

I am ill in bed and my wandering fingers have spend £169 on this curling tool - I hope it doesn't gather dust like alot of my other 'my hair will be amazing after this' purchases. Anyone else lost their minds and bought one? Is it worth it? Please lie to me if it isn't....

Yes, I did the same I blame threads like this. Couldn't wait to try it, so used it on straightened hair & it was rubbish. Put it down to the fact that, at just below the jawline, my hair was too short.

However, gave it another go on washed hair (as the instructions say [blush) and.......

yes the hype is worth it. Amazing curls in less than 10 mins.

Pricey but worth it for sure. Hope you enjoy yours Grin

I really need to hide these threads.

I have heard they are bringing a cheaper version out later this year so will hopefully be able to wait until then to get one.

They seem to have good reviews but a sock bun will do exactly the same for the price of an old sock!

Pendipidy · 17/04/2013 22:17

What is a sock bun ?

Crutchlow35 · 17/04/2013 22:20

if you go to you tube it will show you. hair overnight in a sock and you have curls.

so excited! I have also ended up on youtube looking at sock buns and also purchased a massive hair donut and some seche vite topcoat. Oh, and Revlon Lipbutter. Not good for the finances being ill!

Sweetie, link to bun or styler?

Sock buns only work if your hair is fairly long, you can't do them on mid length hair.

Massively overpriced, the BB Big Hair was too - the price is madness compared to GHD's.

they'll all be on ebay soon Wink

This sounds like something my boss was describing yesterday. He has quite a few daughters and his wife has purchased one of these - he had to spend ages curling them all. The image of this incredibly respected and statesman-like CEO playing hair salons with his girls had me in stitches.

I could practically sell the perfect curl door to door. I spent about half an hour on my hair last night and this morning it still looks perfect - big loose curls. I know it's expensive but I have absolutely found it worth the money for me - although clearly if I wasn't so utterly inept or unwilling to learn, I could achieve the same effect more cheaply.

If a product works flossie and it's expensive but you use it loads and love it then it's absolutely worth the money - I'm just not convinced Grin

Hermione I love that mental picture of him playing salons Grin

I curled my hair on Thursday. The curls are still in place, not as defined as day one but better than beachy waves.

I tried I tried to get it to make my hair look good but it hasn't worked... Selling it on eBay now... I think may hair too naturally wavy and not smooth enough for it... Also it seemed to take ages

I have the babyliss ceramic rollers and find them much easier - put them in then walk around doing stuff till they are cool... And only. £30 not £170!

ChesterDrawers · 23/04/2013 09:47

Has anyone who has usually has difficulty getting curls to last in their hair tried this? No matter what I do I cant get curls to last longer than 30 seconds in my fine, straight hair no matter what I try.

i really want one of these but don't want to blow £170 to find out this is yet another gadget that works for everyone else but not for me.
