Raincoat wanted

tethersend · 11/04/2013 11:07

Oh yeah, but there are about a million specifications...

I want:

A proper PVC, rubber or plastic raincoat, preferably shiny.

Fitted, preferably belted.

With a hood.

Something I don't have to sell a kidney to afford.

Size 16.

Ok, that's five specifications, but it may as well be a million. Any help appreciated.

I have got two - a Mackintosh, with that liberty lining, and is fitted but you feel like you're creaking when you move. It also has no hood.

and an Avoca one, which is soft, shiny, pretty and plasticky, with a hood, but has no belt.

hmmm.

Not plasticky - more rubbery. It feels lovely. Look at avoca anyway.

Gap have one called fisherman's jacket or similar. Not sure if it has a hood though but it's in the sale.

Thanks.

You see? It's impossible. Avoca have no raincoats at all as far as I can tell, the gap and the Boden ones are too short, and Mackintosh have one which isn't shiny.

Sad

I think I've seen a Petit Bateau one on my travels, don't think it was cheap though.
Could have been on Atterley Road.

It's yellow and £126.

There's a great plains red one for £95?

Sorry I've no links, I'm on my phone.

And 'SHARE2013' gets £20 off on Atterley Rd.

Both are too short, not shiny and not fitted, Annianni- thanks for trying, though.

There were some fantastic ones in TK Maxx last year, but I can't remember the make.

It was Sos Jensen, but they don't have any at the moment.

Shock

YoniOfYawn, the Carnaby one is perfect! It says it comes with a hood- do you know if the hood is the same material? I think I love you.

Thanks to everyone for looking.

The hood looks shiny if you zoom in on the pictures, but I've never seen one for real. I just found this with the power of google.
