I now wash my face with honey and nothing else. Much better than OCM. My skin is the softest and clearest I remember it being.
I brush my teeth with activated charcoal and my beige gnashers are actually turning white!

Noooo honestly, it works!
The charcoal looks utterly revolting, I mean you look like something out of a zombie film but it tastes of nothing really nothing. I bought capsules in powder form from holland and barrett. I break one open, wet my toothbrush and dip it into the powder and brush for about 3 mins. I then rinse, spit and brush with my normal toothpaste until my mouth is clear. You need to wipe the sink down. But it is making a discernible difference after only a week.

The honey is of course sticky when you put it on and you have to try and not get it in your hair! I leave it on for a couple of mins and it washes off like a dream just with a splash of water. My face is unbelievably soft afterwards, soft all day. Spots have gone. The pasturised stuff doesn't work as well, but is still good. I use some old manuka honey I had in the cupboard.

Tub of coconut oil from Holland and Barrett. About £15 but lasts ages. Best face and body moisturiser EVER

yes coconut oil is good, I use that too. I happened to have the manuka, you don't have to use that. Raw honey is better, it doesn't have to be expensive raw honey.

Actually, I was reading a US forum recently which rated honey for spots. Do you rub it in or just sort of smear it all over?

Never washed with honey but it's fantastic as a quick face mask. Honey has been used for centuries in China as a burn and wound remedy and is increasingly used in the west now too so stands to reason that it's excellent for skin

Please don't use charcoal on your teeth, you'll destroy the enamel - it's very abrasive. If you have to use an abrasive tooth product then buy pearl drops or something similar and limit it to once a month!

I use raw honey from asda £2.49 for a face mask face wash and mix it with olive oil to use as a hair mask once a week. I also eat it with yogurt which is much less faff and much more fun.

how do you mix honey with olive oil for a hair mask and what does it do? i have a bit of dandruff that i'm trying to clear up with vosene. will it help that or hinder it?

I recently tried OCM which had me break out in acne for the first time ever and am now washing my face with manuka honey and toning with braggs apple cider vinegar which I dilute with water half and half.

The honey washes off really easily and on days that I'm not in a rush I'll leave the honey on as long as possible. Braggs apple cider has great reviews on make up ally site and I bought it off ebay.

I take my make up off with a mix of honey and baking soda on a wet flannel, rub gently and rinse off with hands (it rinses off very well). Then put some oil on the end of the wet flannel and wipe off eye make up. After using baking soda, you have to use the apple cider vinegar/water mix to tone after to balance the skin PH. I found this method on the crunchy betty site.

I had to get duac from gp to help with acne and my forehead is clearing up now and the apple cider vinegar has helped clear up the red scars and honey is leaving my face very soft.

BOO I just use one part honey warmed through to make it runny and two parts olive oil and stir it then I run it through the ends of my hair its very conditioning and smells nice and I only leave it on for 20 mins .for the dandruff I saw a post on another thread that recommended a brown sugar and I think olive Oil scalp rub im going to try that this week. I've heard an apple cider vinegar rinse is good for dandruff too and it makes your hair shine.

As a nurse I use honey on wounds as anti-microbial , does it work on blackheads then?
