Do you hold it straight up when doing legs or at an angle?

I hold mine both ways depending on if I'm doing front or back of legs it stings no matter what.

It doesn't matter as the roller thing is curved anyway. What matters is the way the roller is spinning. I think with an epilator you are supposed to aim to pull the hairs out downwards in line with their growth. The opposite to waxing where they are pulled in the opposite direction to their growth. Does that make any sense? Also best to do it after a hot bath. And afterwards rub a lite tea tree over the area. Depending on your skin you may have a bit of a rash straight afterwards so do it the day before you want to expose your legs. Usually a job I do in the evening (with a glass of wine to numb the pain a bit)

whichever way gets the hairs out best.

I love my epilator. So therapeutic for my OCD side

I've epilated for years but I never get a smooth leg. I look like a plucked chicken. It never settles down. What am I doing wrong?

i do my legs every so often but usually shave in between as its smoother. I save the epilator for my foo and my underarms

I'm sure the instructions with mine say to hold it at right angles to the leg.

Also I thought that with legs you had to move the epilator upwards, from bottom of the leg to top, or have I been doing it wrong?

I epilate for a few months then it stops getting smooth (as the hair all grows back at different rates), so then I shave it all off once, let it all grow back at the same speed and then start the epilating cycle again, then it's really smooth Smile

Epilating your bikini line though,

faints

Bran, you epilate your foo?! Bloody Nora.
If I had a medal id give it to you.

it hurt the first time, but no more than getting it waxed, less messy and i don't have to part the majorca for any beauticians. I don't care how many they've seen before mine

and i don't find it painful at all now I've done it a few times

I love my epilator. I am hard enough to do armpits, but would love to be able to tackle my nethers. I have tried a bit at the sides and nearly fainted.

I can only manage legs and pits. Done the foo before and cried it hurt so much.

It's better if you do your foo in the bath, I only do the sides tho

I get a smooth finish with the epiliator but I do it at least once a week

Hmmm I find the bikini line pretty easy to do with an epilator (I do 'deep bikini' - not quite a landing strip) The thought of doing my armpits churns my stomach though Grin

the thing about epilting your foo is that you don't need to leave it weeks like you do waxing,so i got it waxed, and then just do upkeep with the epilator every few days so there s really only few hairs at a time rather than plucking out a full bush.

Armpits are easy and I say that as someone who almost fainted when they were waxed.

Take a nurofen an hour before epilating!
