I'm sure it's been asked time and again but I just did a quick search and can't find a clear answer.

Are you crepey of skin, or crepey of fabric? Need to know.

LifeIsBetterInFlipFlops Tue 29-Jan-13 19:17:04

So pleased you've asked. I don't know but marking my place.

Same here. I always skip those threads as I don't understand what crepey means but then I feel left out as everybody seems to be in them!

herbaceous Tue 29-Jan-13 19:33:18

We are crepey of skin, particularly the wattle. The thread started years ago when 'women of a certain age' started moaning on about the trials of middle-agedom, such as gunts, jowls and hot flushes. And it's just gone on from there! Come and join us (only if old and decrepit - no sprightly young things please!)

Catchingmockingbirds Tue 29-Jan-13 19:33:40

I assumed it was a spelling mistake that turned into one of those 'in jokes'?

Catchingmockingbirds Tue 29-Jan-13 19:34:46

herb your explanation has just made me even more confused blush.

LifeIsBetterInFlipFlops Tue 29-Jan-13 19:36:55

Ah thanks Herb, <nods head and sets off wattle wobble>

rubyrubyruby Tue 29-Jan-13 20:35:37

rubyrubyruby Tue 29-Jan-13 20:37:19

Blackduck Tue 29-Jan-13 20:39:25

We can take over and spend the next 1000 posts defining what exactly a crepey is!!!

Oh and if this is going to be home for a bit (plumps up cushions, and settles down) can someone link to two venues for next Friday with times extra o if I can make it I don't have to scroll through loads of pages to find info, but have it on page 1 of thread.......pleeeeeasssse smile

lostinindia Tue 29-Jan-13 20:44:42

What is a gunt? confused

MrsSchadenfreude Tue 29-Jan-13 20:48:44

It's the bit of fat that hangs over your C section scar. Or the bit of fat that just hangs over the top of your legs if you are fat and didn't have a C section. <helpful>

bigTillyMint Tue 29-Jan-13 21:05:07

beachyhead Tue 29-Jan-13 21:32:28

Sorry are we just here, taking over, or are we somewhere else???

Stropperella Tue 29-Jan-13 21:32:55

Not sure I can settle under this thread title. I may have an existential crisis every time I click on "Threads I'm On". grin

Stropperella Tue 29-Jan-13 21:34:03

Re: explaining what a crepey is - I could just post a link to a photo of my neck and that would explain everything. (sad, but true)

Stropperella Tue 29-Jan-13 21:38:09

I have an S&B query. Why are these so cheap? What is wrong with them? Are they just too last year or something?

bigTillyMint Tue 29-Jan-13 21:41:31

Hmmmm, maybe they just don't look very good on? Worth a try though for that pricegrin

herbaceous Tue 29-Jan-13 22:05:41

Lostinindia - you can google 'gunt' for clarification, but you'll need to bleach your eyeballs afterwards.

LifeIsBetterInFlipFlops Tue 29-Jan-13 22:13:35

Funny...I thought gunt was a typo for grunt - think I'll give Googling that a miss, thanks for the warning.

< marking place........>

Think of a cross between gut and, well, you know....
