Foundation to help cover freckles?

I know the best thing is to probably learn to love my freckles but I'm a 30 year old woman and if I still dislike them now I doubt that's ever going to change. Grin

I'm not necessarily looking for a foundation to make them disappear (although that would be amazing) but just to soften the look a bit, blend in more so they're less obvious.

Unfortunately I have dry and sensitive skin. I currently use Estee Lauder Double Wear, which I love for the coverage but my skin type means it looks really cakey and yuck.

Any ideas? Smile

Well if you want to get rid of the freckles for ever then you could get a dermotologist to do IPL, they would fade a lot and if you had it done enough they would pretty much disappear for good.

However if you don't like the idea then that EL foundation is the worst thing you could put on your dry skin - it's like armour plating and pretty hard and unflattering. How about trying a BB cream (one of the Korean ones, like Skin79 or Holika Holika - you can get them on Ebay and they aren't expensive). Way more moisturising and they offer really very good coverage. You'll probably look 5 yrs younger too.

Otherwise go with a light coverage hydrating foundation (have a browse on Makeupalley for reviews, it's fantastic) which won't cover the freckles, but then go over the freckles with a liquid concealer and a tiny brush. it sounds like a hassle but with a bit of practice it won't take long, and it's a much softer look. Check out Lisa Eldridge's site for info/ideas/video. I've learned loads from watching her. Try experimenting with some of the cheaper brands like MUA and Borjois, you might be pleasantly surprised.

I have small moles on my face. When I use Bare Minerals they are almost invisible.

I love freckles, I think probably because my Mum was very freckly so to me they are a sign of beauty. But if you are happier covering them then I second the Bare Minerals suggestion.
