Okay. So this is what I want -

narrow legged black trousers, maybe 7 eights: not polyester / not designed for giants / not dry clean only

a cream, latte colour or v pale grey silk top with sleeves and some pretty detailing (could have a print providing it is tiny) but not cleavage revealing and not pussy bow

nice tights to wear with pencil skirts and heels

a deep burgundy scarf with a quirky black print but not leopard or skulls

a dress: waisted, mini-ish as in above the knee, cotton or cotton mix or silk, sleeves or no sleeves but loose enough to wear a t-shirt under. Don't care what colour but I want a nice print and I want to wear it either with biker boots or with tan heeled ankle boots and black or grey opaques

a black silk printed loose top to wear with skinnies

That'll do for now, thanks! :)

Oh and a jumper.

That isn't acrylic and is grey or grey/black or maybe striped. Long-ish but not too oversized and not too fitted. Or it could be red and/or navy. I'm thinking a bit like a cricket jumper.

I've been looking at this grey silk top since it was reduced.

I don't need it though.

Thank you. It's pretty but it would make me look huge on top I think. And I want at least 3 quarter sleeves.

Lurking - if you're around to check Tethers' links before I'm back, you can tell me which ones I'll like best!

This dress IS a bargain though, if you're a 10. And yes, I checked the link.

Report
tethersend · 19/01/2013 16:34

Matalan blouse with long sleeves is a bargain for silk!

Wow! Thank you all. So many lovely links!

Quite like the cotton not silk too printy thing, surprisingly!

www.jaeger.co.uk/Alexa%20Wool%20Blend%20Stripe%20Jumper/600140D-00100-S,en_GB,pd.html?start=9&cgid=women-knitwear This Jaegar jumper from Tethers' links is good but the neck is too high and it's too expensive. store

This one again from Tethers is good Am going to see if I can see it in store.

I like the cable knit of the KM one but not the high neck.

Love the shape of the 2nd Cos trousers but v suspicious of the fabric.

Whistles trousers are a disaster on me, shape wise.

Don't like the Phase 8 wrap thing - it looks like it's been dragged through a hedge backwards.

Matalan one too shapeless.

Love the duck print - don't think I can justify it though.

Phase 8 tea dress hideous and so is that brown printy kaftan thing.

Don't like the Lanvin even if I did have £720 to spend on a dress.

GD is a lovely colour and I like the studs but the cut is far too severe for me. Ditto the cream.

Leather thing would make me look like a fat Austrian man at an S&M party.

Blue leopard print dress - the shape is perfect but I don't like the print.

Ugh - not doing v well yet, sorry. Blush

Need shops I can go to irl please. Am in Birmingham so can do most high street stores, HoF and Selfridges.

Grin @ Fat Austrian!! I like that top!! Also comes in a burgundy-ish colour - less fat Austrian perhaps?! Oh dear I didn't do well at all. Yes, the G Darel ones look a bit severe but not so irl. It is much handier to try on rather than mail order, I hate the (inevitable) returns.
