I am in desperate need of smart work trousers - last ones I bought were per una stretch boot flare but they're too big and I'm out of touch.

In casual I wear skinny and I wore skinny black trousers with a smart jacket but it didn't feel right

Just reporting back on the Massimo Dutti trousers - lovely fabric and fit - are keepers smile

i am not an 8 - thats the thing. its gap freakery

i am 10.7 which is ok but i want to be about 10.2 or i will be 11 stone again in a flash

MaureenShit Mon 14-Jan-13 15:06:58

its WORK noddo, no denim

noddyholder Mon 14-Jan-13 15:04:25

Primark push up super skinny dark wash jeans £13 so practically premium fantastic for those wanting a boost in the bum dept (no good for work though) Size 10 though so vanity sizing i think. Maureen how can you be on a diet and an 8 envy

MaureenShit Mon 14-Jan-13 15:01:13

I ORDERED The super skinny too as i am fannying around with postage
i BET you they come tomorrow, are so fast

MaureenShit Mon 14-Jan-13 14:58:11

Sorry. True straight.

MaureenShit Mon 14-Jan-13 14:57:10

Gap perfect straight

lurkingaround Mon 14-Jan-13 14:15:42

I would say size down. Even if they fit now, in an hour or 2 they will be quite a bit looser. Yes, the sizing is ridiculous.

<taps fingers impatiently>

stclemens Mon 14-Jan-13 14:03:57

are these the Massimo dutti ones??

CharlotteBronteSaurus Mon 14-Jan-13 13:24:04

which ones are these?
i need roomy on the thigh and am 33" inside leg so they might work

MaureenShit Mon 14-Jan-13 13:04:56

ok * breathes in *

fabric lovely length a bit too long for my 31 inch inside leg! I would have to take up until they shrunk after a vigorous tumble.

I am just wondering if even the bloody 10 is too big. is a bit roomy on the thigh. i have rarely been a 10in rl and never ever an 8

I might order 8 adn see how bad i have to slither to get into them

MaureenShit Mon 14-Jan-13 11:31:36

yes - only the cotton fades
I wash as delicates - that helps

MaureenShit Mon 14-Jan-13 11:31:15

the trousers have come.
ONce i have de sweated from gym i will try

lurkingaround Mon 14-Jan-13 09:53:37

noddy if you're around. that Cos skirt you linked, is the length not a bit frumpy? I would love it but the length put me off.

Great thread, just reading now, yes, Gap can shrink, but what gets me more is that they fade. I no like it.

MooMinCow Mon 14-Jan-13 07:58:21

Do they? Ah well, if he does get them, I'll turn them into Capri pants then wink

MaureenShit Mon 14-Jan-13 07:56:24

Yup. It is. Long is good. Plus they shrink.

MaureenShit Mon 14-Jan-13 07:55:54

Is that what ive ordered

MooMinCow Mon 14-Jan-13 07:54:03

The True Straight were lovely, but too long by about 3 inches! DH is in America this week so have mailed him linky to buy a shorter length pair, as they only do shorter lengths in certain styles in UK grr (sort it out Gap!). If he doesn't find a pair I will just have to hack off the extra length myself!

MaureenShit Mon 14-Jan-13 07:49:32

Of course. I ring up and claim.

I ordered yesterday. They're out for delivery today fgs!!

MooMinCow Mon 14-Jan-13 07:47:09

Gap have 20% off today only in store and online. Use GAPSTYLE code. Typical, could have done with it yesterday grrr
