Hush sale on!!

Got the navy Henley dress, took a gamble on it being heavily reduced and it was Smile Bought the charcoal Sloppy Joe dress in the presale and glad I did as it didn't go into the main sale. Tempted by the leopard scarf but I have enough scarves... and the maroon cashmere crew neck looks lovely.

What are people buying?

i'm buying a pair of PJs - the ones i got last year were gorgeous but are too small and now in the sale for £20!

I was on there at midnight! - also got the Henley dress, the cashmere crewneck, a big sloppy jumper and some trousers. Have never had anything from them before but really love the styles so am interested to see what it's all like - hurry up postman!

Glad I was not the only saddo up at midnight Cambridge! Grin

Got the red long harems (bought the grey ones back in the summer), khaki lola joggers and black knitted harems. Have bought from Hush in the past and been really happy with quality and overall style of the clothes. Have never bought anything full price though as it does seem a bit overpriced for what is essentially pretty basic items of clothing. IMO the sale is always worth a look.

I was on Hush at 11pm[even sadder].Bought Navy long cardigan,Henley dress and sloppy jumper plus leopard scarf[i have several already but not in navy Blush] and the pale pink patterned scarf.I was really tempted by the berry harem pants but then decided that a size 14 bottom coated in swathes of red material was maybe not a good look.In my mind, you see, i am going to look like the 16/18 year old model in the Hush catalogue instead of a 48 year old chunky[curvy] blond. The actual reality when i try the clothes on will be disappointing i'm sure.

Thanks for this! I see Hush mentioned so frequently, but haven't bought from there myself before. Seeing as my Zara and Massimo Dutti Boxing Day orders have FINALLY turned up, and some is going back, I figure I have some spare cash!

Have bought the cashmere crew in damson, the Henley dress in navy and the paint brush scarf, which looks as though it'll go nicely with both.

And 12% cashback with Quidco. Awesome.

Bugger I forgot about cashback in my hurry to spend!

am gutted I was going to wake myslef to get up for 12 but forgot to set the alarm then the smallies had me up a few times during the night - had my eye on the fine knit scarf paintbrush scarf, 2 henly dresses, wrap skirt, and slouchy joe dress and goldie jumper - nearly all sold out in my size now.

Got the burgundy long harems and the black knitted ones - I live in my black and grey pairs from previous years. I'm a 14 and shortish and they are still really flattering as they are not voluminous at all. Would never pay full price for them though, I think they're really overpriced at £50.

Really zgaze?I might try them then.Do you wear them with heels?.I bought a pair last year and my dc's said i look like auntie so&so who lives in trackie bottoms and is large and plain. It really put me off them and so i gave them to a 16 year old.

zgaze · 08/01/2013 11:23

I generally wear them with biker type boots & a sloppy jumper, sometimes smarten them up a bit with close fitting top / casual blazer thing, they do look good with heels though.

Turquoiseblue I am returning the charcoal marl slouchy joe dress in S/M which I bought in the presale as I look like a sack of spuds in it! Does my ample bottom no favours at all. So keep an eye on the website as it will come back up in the next few days - they sent out orders made over christmas on the 3rd and it arrived yesterday so probably lots of returns this week

Oh I was wondering about the harem pants as they look so comfy and nice on the models but I have doubts they would look anywhere near as good on me. However I am also 12/14 on the bottom half and short so maybe...

Thanks zgaze.I have now ordered the burgundy, plus the blush long vest for a touch of colour.I am now officially spent up as the items i've returned to various places have not yet been refunded [why does money take so long to be refunded during the sales?].

Just got back from shopping and seen this thread - whoops.

I've ordered the henley dress, amy dress, knit harem joggers and the knitted henley. Not bought from Hush before so very excited about having some nice comfy clothes!

Am going to at long last get the long harems. I'm a 12 to 14 bottom half. Usually a 12 in h&m.
Will I get the harems in a S/M or M/L?

I've just received my order and I don't think I'm keeping much but what I do like, I really like:

Henley dress (grey) - lovely, wish I could get the navy too but it's sold out

Big sloppy jumper (navy) - OK but not as nice as I'd expected. Definitely not worth £65 and even at £40 in the sale I'm unsure

Knitted harem pants - very unflattering on me, like leggings that have gone baggy in the wash - was worth a try though!

Cashmere jumper - absolutely beautiful colour, much nicer than on the website, but quite itchy and I don't like the exposed seams. Even at 1/2 price I'm not sure I love this enough to keep it

Oh well, saved myself a few ££ :)

CambridgeBlue, if your not sure, return, Hush stuff wears shockingly badly ime, I have had too many bad experiences and won't buy from them again. It all looks so lovely, but is pretty shoddy and overpriced even in the sale for what you get.

When did you order Cambridge? Can't wait for my Henley dress SmileI seem to collect navy casual dresses (as DH commented) but this one looks perfect. Will probably regret not ordering the grey one too.

Have never had any issues with quality - I think Hush do simple but beautiful clothes, always a bit different to high st stuff and always feels lovely on. I'm in the process of replacing my entire wardrobe with Hush items.

Does anyone have the Stephanie dress btw? Not sure if it's a bit nightie-ish especially in blush, I have a navy Michelle dress and love it, they are quite similar but I suspect Stephanie would be more flattering as the ruching is only at the front.

I ordered at midnight when the sale started but I paid for 1-2 day delivery. Hope yours turns up soon - the Henley dress is really lovely.

Is anyone finding that their knitted leggings are coming up small in comparison to other trousers? I would have thought that the same size in different styles would have fit fine. Dont want to wear the next size up in case they're too big Confused

Had an email to say the cardigan I ordered had been dispatched and a few days later another email to say that it was in fact sold out WTF???!!

I've got the medium/large knitted leggings and they are monstrously huge. I shall keep them because they are really warm and soft, but shall only wear them around my really cold flat. They're not suitable to wear out in public at all!

I've bought quite a lot this sale. Henley dresses, long cardigans and 3 scarves plus a sloppy jumper.I like the cotton/cashmere/silk mix and it washes well [ i have 2 Henley dresses from last year].I have had major issues with quality in previous years with some items though, but i think these issues have been resolved.I really love the scarves and the leopard print and brushstrokes ones are lovely quality[i've also just ordered the blue crystal one].I ended up cancelling an order for the harems as they hadn't been sent out within 7 days[was cross].Now i've started paying the £6 delivery fee as this seems to guarantee very rapid delivery. However this does grate a bit. That would really annoy me dotty!.
